From Ian Cheeseman .....re Pellegrini taking over

Definitely possible, a well connected ex City player told me this morning that he expects the change to happen ....

Ask yourself this...will the rags appoint Mancini or even be linked with him? No. If he's not good enough for them then he is not good enough for City.
Fixed.

Ian Cheeseman messaged me on facebook ........he did not name ex player and I would not expect him to..... we will see if it is true in 2 weeks or so

Ex player possibly Paul Lake??

Nigel Cleghorn
Now that would make sense - he's one bitter man when it comes to Mancini. Every other sentence he has to reiterate that " as you know I don't like Mancini " ..we know you ****, you've mentioned it, now why don't you talk about some of the positives instead of making me want to crash my car into a fucking wall!!

Everyone keeps going on about keeping Mancini so we can use our relative stability as an advantage against Utd next season...

Does anyone think Fergie is actually leaving Utd? He's moving upstairs, he'll still be around, to offer advice to Moyes (who is a very capable manager) and to pick up the pieces if things go wrong. It's not going to affect them at all, it may even make them stronger as they will have a manager who can be what Ferguson wishes he still was, rather than one who was having to become increasingly hands off due to his growing health problems.

If you think we should keep Mancini just to win by default next season then you need to pull your head out of the sand. This is not even taking into consideration the probable re-emergence of the Mourinho-machine.

So bacon face is going to be bullying the refs from the boardroom then? Is he going to be popping down to do the team talks and run training? He may still be around but things are going to change once he is no longer manager. I wouldn't dare suggest we'd piss the league cos the rags still have a good squad but to suggest nothing will change after a team has lost their 26 year long dictator is complete bollocks.
Perhaps in match they might get stronger as Moyes is actually slightly more tactically astute than Ferguson, at least that's what I think from watching our matches against their two respective sides. Apart from that I can't see where Moyes will fail to cover anything Ferguson would have, they are cut from the same cloth, and if he does Fergie will be looking over his shoulder to help him out. The pair have long enjoyed an almost student-mentor relationship so I can't any disharmony in that relationship either.

Still, I guess we can cross our fingers and hope ;)

Fucking lol

Moyes is a pale imitation of Fergie!

You rags will try and convince yourselves that everything will carry on as usual. However, you are going to be very disappointed when you realise Moyes is just an average manager.

Just watching Madrid malaga, could of sworn it showed khaldoon in the crowd?

This Malaga based journalist is talking about Pellegrini to City... my Spanish is awful and Google Translate is even worse but I think he says it's on and that Isco and Camacho could come with him.

I'll have a look when I get in from work.

For anyone interested, 4 hours ago from now he's said Pellegrini has lost hope that the owners of Málaga will outline a new plan/project/way forward/call it what you want for next season. He'll wait until the last game of the season to see what the club has to offer. If he's not convinced by it, he'll ask Málaga to negotiate with us. His best offer on the table is from us, at €6 million a year. There's a huge chance that Isco will come with him. City and Málaga have both spoken about future transfers and loans, we like Isco and Camacho.

For what it's worth, I highly doubt that their owners will come up with a grand masterplan to convince Pellegrini to stay, given he was given precisely £0 to spend last summer and he along with some of his staff (playing and non-playing) are owed money.

To veer off track a bit, I wouldn't hold too much faith in the 'if Mancini wins the FA Cup he'll definitely stay' line. I'm reading Graham Hunter's Barca book at the minute, and Txiki had made the decision to get rid of Rijkaard in October 2007, a good six months before he was originally sacked. This is the exact quote:

'Ingla takes up the story. “Immediately after I took office in October 2007, Txiki’s point of view was that Frank Rijkaard’s ‘cycle’ in the club was definitively over – he must leave irrespective of whether the team did win a trophy or not.'

Perhaps even if we do win the FA Cup, the powers that be might decide that Mancini's 'cycle' at the club is over. There's an argument to be made for it.
