If we are just extending the stadium would we need to set up another ltd company?
Edit: why do we need to have a development company in our name? wouldn't we just sub-contract to a reputable building contractor? wouldn't it just be a case of mcfc pays x building contractors x amount?

Could be a vehicle to start a property/land portfolio for the club, bearing in mind that we are gonna have to boost our income to appease twattini in the not too distant.
Seem to remember the scum owned a lot of land in and around Traff park a few years ago.

This, to me, is more likely. Development Companies happen all the time especially when we have very business orientated owners that know how to operate. It could be for the continued development of the local area or closer links to the community as a whole. No biggie

of course development companies happen all the time, maybe not so much since credit crunch...., but the most valid point with this is that we have chosen to name the company Manchester City Developments Limited - this in itself outlines that it is development relevant to the club, anything that is bought and developed around our stadium and/or including development of the stadiium itself is big news.

Shoot me down here but why on earth are people seriously even thinking we might be looking to build a new stadium?
If we were building a new/expanding the current stadium, building a new training ground etc. I don't think we'd have to set up a new company to do it.
Whatever it is, it's all very interesting and it proves that we, as a club have big plans, and the next few years are going to be so interesting generations to come will want us to sit in our rocking chairs at the nursing home and say "Tell us again about Transfer Deadline Day..."
