Manchester City Skinheads

One of my first experiences at Maine Road in the early 70s as an 12 year old youngster was seeing a guy with a Leeds scarf get carted off his arms into an alleyway near the city chippy by two tall City skinheads dressed in black coats and Doc Martens before one game there ... all you could hear then was him shouting for help, and the sound of boots and fists going in.

And I spotted the same two skinheads after the game doing the same thing to another Leeds fan at Lloyd Street/Claremont Road junction .. who was just walking back to town.

Summertime job whilst at school in 71 ,I was told by him in front of other workers and with NOTW in hand bragging about this .I was never sure if it was him until a few years later (Jan 77) watching him in action at Newcastle in F.A.Cup .Crazy day ,players going off because of fighting in Gallowgate end .Awesome fighter

I was in the Gallowgate that day, it was really bad .... a lot of City fans left the ground at half time or just after, the atmosphere was that hostile.
