Manchester City vs Hull City post match thread

We had enough of the ball, but the main problem is the pace at which we play. There is hardly any one-touch passing. It is all multiple touch play which makes us incredibly predictable and allows defenders time to cover.

Actually think that could be this year's Sunderland draw. :-)

Agree wholeheartedly!

So so slow and predictable. It gives the opposition time to get back in formation and we end up going backwards.

The same with Middlesbrough. If we played with the same urgency in the first half as we did the second then it will be a very different result. I mean really different like 4-0 or 5-0. It seems that the players struggle to motivate themselves especially against the so called lesser teams and that is very worrying. The manager and the players themselves are to blame. Even against Chelsea in the second half, a bit more urgency and desperation and we should have got the three points.

For such a talented team, we are really throwing away an opportunity to at least fight for the title. Stoke, Burnley, Hull, all at home. There is nothing worse the not making the most of your opportunities or talent and this season we have failed in that respect.

Lets qualify for the champions league and go on from there.

We didn't have the same urgency in the first half because we had two defensive midfielders playing whose creative play amounts to fuck all.

Has MP and the team been cursed or something?
How on earth can we have capitulated to such a level?

Outdated tactics.

Relying on this shite possession football which doesn't work well against these tightly defending small teams.

Not shooting when we have the chance but choosing to pass it somewhere. Mainly to someone going really up wide.

Not being able to score from a fucking corner ever..

The ONE GOOD THING today was that we scored from a fucking set piece. Jimmy MOTM for me.

Toss up for me between Fernandinho and Edin

Maureen must be howling with laughter at us.
Unable to beat a bottom 4 team at home!
Title is now Chavs to lose.
If we carry on like this, we will be lucky to make 5th place.
Unacceptable.
74% possession!!

He's right we are all picking up points. In the last 6 games we've picked up 5 points. Great return from Everton, Chelsea away and Burnley, Sunderland, Arsenal & Hull at home

Serious question; do you think that is an acceptable performance today (the result obviously isn't)? And we've been poor for much of the season. We had a good period during nov/dec when we hauled Chelsea back. But face acts; we've been muck since the Burnley game just after Christmas. It's all very well to say "have a bit of faith" (how does 52 years of faith grab you?), but we need to see something on the pitch to have a bit of faith in. And it just isn't happening at the moment.

Absolutely pathetic first half by almost everyone that left us with too much to do in the second. Much better in the second half with Navas offering some attacking impetus, but too many rusty players and a shit referee stopped us from recovering. Hart and Demichelis both need a serious talking to about their goal, I wouldn't expect that shit from children.

Pellers got it wrong by starting three rusty attacking players, while leaving out Navas. Both Fern's are not doing nearly enough either, Fernandinho in particular is really dissapointing me with his inabilty to impact games in Yaya's absence. Fernando is supposed to give him a licence to go forwards, but he seems to be struggling to do anything positive at all. (neither is Fernando, but that's not surprising me) He's looking like a £30m hatchet man

Been coming a long time this - 3 straight home defeats no goals simply resignation ( and relegation!) form for a sqauad such as ours
Champions? You must be kidding
Is this the same team?
At a total loss - thank took for two title
