I think this will be a great game.

I'd be happy with a draw on monday.

Good luck, City fans, may the best team win. :)

(Liverpool fan)

I don't believe you .....

Most of your fans who come on here have a screw loose ;)

Good luck after tomorrow....not a chance this will be a draw..

You don't believe me? So you think ALL Liverpool fans have a screw loose? It's funny how you judge people before you know them.. SOME Liverpool fans may have a screw or two loose, but most of us are actually quite normal. Don't judge everyone based on a few people you've known before :)

My username on Liverpoolfc.com's official forum is Simon1234, look me up. Now you'll believe me.

Good luck tomorrow, again, it'll be a tight game for sure!

It often pays dividends to actually read the post. I said most Liverpool fans who come on here.

Out of interest whereabouts in Liverpool are you from? My guess is nowhere near judging by your precious reply to my obvious joke.

I would be gobsmacked if we didn't play two strikers at home. Even though it seems logical to go with Dzeko as loan striker that smacks as though we are changing to suit Liverpool, my understanding of Pellers if they will change to suit our style. Just my opinion.

I'm surprised people think that changing and playing with 3 in midfield would be a good thing. It's almost like the batterings we dished out to all and sundry at the Etihad last season didn't happen.

We played two up top against Bayern and got one of the biggest dominations your are likely to see in a Champions League game between two top sides.

This Liverpool side are lethal on the counter and I personally feel we are not fit enough yet to play two in midfield against a top side, I could be wrong but if we go with two in midfield we could play into their hands in my opinion.
you are wrong, you big scaredy cat

I agree that I think he'll play two up front, but personally I'd go with the team shown above your post.
Yeah I agree, against most teams we'll play two up top but for certain Premier and CL sides we'll play mostly with the trio of Yaya and the two Ferns. Yaya is basically a supporting forward when he plays in that role anyhow and Liverpool will try and stretch us by playing it wide but our two "holding" Brasilians will counter this threat in my opinion.

That is why it's one of the reasons we signed Fernando isn't it because of certain games last season?(Bayern, Chelsea and Liverpool where our two in midfield struggled)

Yaya rarely contributes much in home games when he's pushed forward. Not until the second half when the game opens up.

We were outplayed by Bayern at home when they played 6 in midfield, but Liverpool will not do that. We played one up front at home to Barca and that didn't go much better than the Bayern game. We generally do not play well at home playing one up front.

To be honest, a 4-4-2 with one of the strikers (Jovetic probably) dropping deeper to help out when we don't have the ball, or a 4-5-1 with Yaya in behind the striker, are not really that different, are they.

Personally, I'd favour the latter, but so long as our two strikers don't stand around up front on their own, either option will work.

I thought Edin worked hard against Newcastle tracking back so more of the same and more from him against Liverpool.

Username is a bit suss

But apart from that cheers

cant believe a poster is comparing candlepool to bayern munich , this media hype love-in for Victim F.C., is obviously affecting their judgement , we are at home to a team that cant defend , so we should go with one up front at home ? Maybe the 150 odd goals we scored last season counts for nowt , in some peoples eyes.

We really need to turn these over like we have the scum the last few years, to do that would send out a huge statement they got lucky last year, I think we will play our 4-4-2 with Fernandinho missing out. Gutted I can't be there but will be watching in TV, come on you blue boys.

Jovetic
Dzeko

Maybe 3 in CM if MP sees Liverpoool as a threat that dangerous, couldn't choose between Fernando/Fernandinho, Aguero in for Dzeko in my opinion if he's fit (not what MP will do though, he'll take Jovetic out if Sergio is fully fit enough to start.
