Manchester City vs Liverpool Pre Match Thread.

Manuel Pellegrino, besides talking rubbish about Liverpool all week with his feeble attempt at mind games, will send his side out with their usual attacking fervour. This may well play into the hands of their visitors, who as we saw last season, are more than capable of playing counter-attacking football to clinical and devastating effect. For this, the rear guard has to be solid, and one would hope Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel can pick up where he left off last week against Southampton.

Just seen this on a Liverpool blog about tomorrow's game. What a load of rubbish Pellegrini too classy for that. Hope we smash them

Why are so many of you Brits such bitchy message board posters. Here, Liverpoolfc, theShed, a lot of posters seem to have no interest in polite debate. I am replying to one example of it here.

and btw, I fully understand that Liverpool boards are no better...after Chelsea essentially eliminated us last year, I started a Congratulations Chelsea thread and was attached by other liverpool posters. This place doesnt seem to be much better.

I am moderator of an NFL board and while it can get nasty occasionally, it is nothing like this.

My 2cents.

This is how I'd start the game - we must be able to withstand the 20 minute pace fest that we have failed to do in the games last season.

Hahaha. You made a thread entitled "congratulations Chelsea" after they lost the title? You're alright in my books mate.

I don't think you really understand the tribal nature of football here in England, there is nothing friendly about it, it's the national sport and obsession for many

It once again confirms tabloids and football fans are made for each other.

If you're not comfortable on English fan sites then don't come on them.
