The MEN is in affect suggesting that the expansion of the ground should not go ahead

Are they really suggesting that the club should not create all the jobs relating to the expansion of the ground? Are they really supporting people staying on the dole rather than by being found work?

Imagine the headline "We want more people on the dole says local newspaper"

You should go into political journalism / work for a political party (same thing) mate.

all this spouting off is all well and good, but apart from not going onto the men site is there anything else we could do to affect the men,the journo is a wanker, but the buck stops with the men

Exactly this - we want local people on the dole, we want our local club to not improve itself by expanding the stadium, we want our kids not to be able to get season tickets there and watch top quality football, and above all else we advocate 5 year olds going to bed at midnight on a school night - YCNMIU, only he did

Stuart Brennan did ok with his damage limitation piece, but as has already been pointed out the damage has already been done. A shameful article. Stuart's done a good job on here putting across his point and proving the MEN to be impartial but then a rookie goes and posts this shit and it's all crumbled again.

Who the hell allowed for it to actually be put in the paper?

That's the daft thing, Brennan uses good journalism and participatory debate to show the MEN in a really good light in terms of accuracy and bias and then this guy just blows it away in one hit.
A Gerald Ronson 'Ratner' moment perchance?

shame he didn't draw the circles at the swamp when we won 6-1, the twunt would still be fucking drawing now

Shocking journalism. It's like they held a competition for primary schools to write an article but then again that is being unfair on primary school kids who could write a better article than this ****. And the fact the editor has defended this skid mark of an article is even more shocking. I never buy their paper anyway but I'd advise others who do to stop immediately. Hit them in the pocket, I doubt the editor will be so quick to defend shite journalism when his bosses are knocking on his door about poor sales.

Mate them circles are a fookin joke, aren't they? The yoonited road end is what we all see on the telly innit? He'd have his work cut out ringin' all the clusters of empties in there.
