Manchester sold itself to Abu Dhabi’s elite - Guardian article

the guy who did the study is on talksport now, and hes getting his arse slapped by the 3 presenters

edit

he was getting no joy out of the presenters, so started dropping sportswashing , wonder who paid for this "investigation"
He was probably hoping it was jim white and Simon Jordan on and not two people who live in and around Manchester

The state of some of these pricks trying to change the narrative around the regeneration of land in and around the stadium and outlying areas, this isn’t just some hack deciding oh think I’ll do a write up on Abu Dhabi and the Manchester regeneration with the whole article pushing a dodgy underhand deal, someone or some organisation has paid for this too be wrote, just a continuous negative agenda thats pushing and painting City, sheik Mansour and Abu Dhabi in a bad light,I have a good idea who’s behind it so have the majority of fans and those at the club, maybe it’s time to start hitting back with articles about those chancers ..

Agree it be one the yank owners or that prick Neville

The talk sport people were clueless but so was the academic.

The Manchester Salford Housing Renewal Pathfinder was ended early after the 2010 election, and around the same time the NW Regional Housing pot was abolished, so there were unfinished projects and a lot of Councils looked for institutional investment to help complete them. The kind of money that goes into a long term income stream for the investor for things like pension funds, so institutions were looking into housing for steady return which other investments were not offering 10 years ago (and still aren't).

The was a lot a regen by the canal well before 2014 and most of the development will be nothing to do with CFG. It was within MCC's gift to deliver a mixed tenure site like it has done with GMPF and partners including affordable homes, however there are constraints if what they built are effectively tower blocks.

Micky Gray going on about "done by the Red Book" was laughable.

Gray is an embarrassment. He thinks he can still get off with young girls.

I doubt they are counting the MLS as big name, clearly PL teams are bigger than MLS. Owning NBA, NHL and NFL teams is like their honours system, if they don't think you are worthy they will block you like a stuck up Golf Club with recourse to appeal.

Spot on.

If you want to play Billy Big Bollocks on the international sports stage MLS ain't it.

The UAE are richer than God and Saudi is richer still, if burnishing your image is your game and money no object, you wouldn't be buying City and Newcastle, that is as plain as day and the Guardian knows it, but facts not fitting the narrative don't matter.

Listening to him is a great advet for saving momey on uni fees on a diploma and getting a btec instead.

As if you turn out that shit at research may as well not bother ;-)

"There are questions to be asked around"..... blah, blah, blah

In other words we have nothing but we're ploughing on regardless.
