I can't believe people want this sorting out quickly.

This should be left to rumble on for days if not weeks, drip feeding us snippits of information. I say this for two reasons:

Firstly, it fills the back pages, takes up airtime and generally keeps them and Ferguson out of the limelight.

Secondly, and more importantly, It's fucking fantastic entertainment. Reading, listening and watching!!![/quote]

... and thats just on here !!

Am coming round to the view that this whole affair has been engineered by Ric or the mods. Is boosting hits n visits no end

I've bought an Aga and laser surgery in the last twenty minutes alone!

Fecking hell - some of you need to lie down.

Apparently it's open season on City, from our own fans.

Mancini can do no wrong.

However, Begiristain, Soriano, Khaldoon, Sheikh Mansour, Vicky Kloss, and others are all incompetent.

Mancini has done a truly superb job of deflection.

People are always polarised in their opinions Tolmie..

can you consider for a second that Mancini has been undermined this season and is fighting a battle that no manager should ever have to fight within a well run football club.

the manager should have the unwavering support of every employee within a well run football club, until the day he is out the door.

Poll: Should Roberto Mancini be sacked?
[ Go to pageGo to page: 1 ... 15, 16, 17 ]

17 pages in chaps and 67% of the fans on this forum say Mancini SHOULDN'T be sacked. Overwhelming and undisputable support for the current manager.

I guess that caused an emergency meeting in Abu Dhabi right now.

I can't believe how blinkered people are to his man management or personality short comings.

So you know him personally do you?
Obviously not mr troll.

It is blindingly obvious that his abrasive personality and hanging everyone out to dry has cost him dearly.

Win at all costs attitude seems to have lost him his job.

Not only does Mancini know his days are numbered, he also knows exactly why that's the case, and he knows that City are in no position as yet to confirm or deny any of this. That's why he was so confrontational in the press conference after the FA Cup Final, he knew there could be no response from the club so it was, in cricketing parlance, a free hit. He's managed to get the media, and a great deal of the fans, on his side by playing the victim/martyr here. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if the "leak" that brought this whole Mancini out/Pellegrini in to the fore at this stage hadn't come from somewhere within the Mancini camp.

That is an interesting suggestion. Fuck me football is worse than politics!

I said words to this effect not more than a couple of months ago and was roundly lambasted. I hope everything does come out so at least those who abused me will have cause to reflect upon the things they said.

.... she is decent at her job.

She gets told what to say and when to say it, nothing more.

So she's decent at saying what she's told to & when to say it? (She does nothing more than that in your own words).

Well, I have to he honest & say that her job doesn' sound terribly difficult to me. I'm sure I could say what I'm told to & I'm sure I'd do it for less money.

Strange though, I always thought there was more to being the Chief Communications Exec at a large company.

The best paid actors in the world do just that. Funny old world, eh?

Nah. I have no illusions about Mancini and what he is like and that like a Jose or a Rafa or a Capello he would push it too far and that would be that. But I have enjoyed Mancini's tenure in fact its been glorious fun but with Ferran and Txiki coming in the chances of it ending this way were always high. They want their own man in and Mancini overreached.

But I see no problem in calling out Txiki and Ferran for the way they handled things and overseen the managerial change. It was a shambles. The build up to the final was a shambles and the day itself a bleeding disaster on and off the pitch. I said a lot if this during the build up as it didn't a genius to work out how it could play in the media. So well played boys. Way to go.

So if Pellegrini got RSC scoring, can we expect Dzeko to now stay and be given service?

I like Dzeko but he was not being used in the correct way. If we did play to his strengths I'd be happy for him to stay.

dzeko would never be used in the correct way or maybe the way i should put it he would never have the service he requires under mancini, the bottom line is have we been sused? i say yes teams know how we play we have no plan b whatsoever, mancini has done very well here i will allways thank him for that but a new manager is now what we need who will play with other options and by that i mean wingers
just imo

I don't know if you have an inside line into how Txiki and Ferran operate but anything they have done has been under the radar. I can't see any impact externally since they arrived, except for maybe a destabalising of the power balance.

From the outside it looks like Marwood and Vicky have been responsible for numerous debacles relating to the manager of the football club, he is the most important man at the club. Bobby has been undermined by those working against him which is a fucking disgrace if you ask me.

Or you could look at it that he has tried to shaft both of them and its backfired. I don't know either way as I don't have the esp powers some on here have.

What I do know is Mancini appeasrs to have this season criticized at least 2 club employees in public. Neither of them having the ability to reply

If someone isn't performing, from the playing staff to the tea lady, then he has the right to criticize in whatever way he feels fit.

Ferguson has criticized everyone at United over the years and not only gotten away with it.

Let me put it this way.. A fucking PR executive isn't going to win us the Premier League next season.. so see ya Vicky love. The manager should be number 1.

He`s never critised the Owners nor Gill. He`s critical of referees, the FA and any fucker who beats the Rags fair and square.
Kloss reports to who ?? Yes possibly the main man,Khaldoon.I would bet a pound to a penny he`s told her what and what not to say, irrespective of your obvious hate of her.

Brennan and Custis were both writing Mancini was going nowhere just recently.

Mancini has made enemies across every facet of the club over the last 12 months.

And his ridicule of Vicky Kloss is a disgrace, especially in front of her at Wembley to a small press contingent, highly embarrassing.

Firstly, she is a blue.

Secondly, she is decent at her job.

She gets told what to say and when to say it, nothing more.

I might not agree with some of City's policy towards the media, but Mancini has pissed on a lot of chips.
So Kloss was present during the interview?

For what reason then? Does she needs the boards approval to intervene or was it just wrong of her to allow some of the questions that were asked?

Mancini said Vicky should've done more to stop the stories. Even the journos were surprised by this comment and suggested it was the board's job to give her the mandate to quash the stories and they hadn't so Vicky's hands were tired - which is true.

It's also worth noting that Mancini isn't some wet behind the ears kid who doesn't understand the way the press work or the way big political football clubs like City work. He will have known why the stories weren't being squashed. Again he could've asked Ferran or Khaldoun to instruct Vicky to kill the stories.

What is coming to light is that Mancini's relationship was so poor with so many people behind the scenes that communication was almost non existent.
Sorry but that doesn't answer any of my questions.

Why was she present during the interview? Why is she present during press conferences or official interviews for that matter?

To stand back and allow some of the questions that were asked to be asked, and then subsequently answered by Mancini was as much a shambles as his answers.

That's twice in as many days the club left him a sitting duck, and it cost them.
