What bollocks am I talking? I know she is not the press officer. I assume the press officer reports to her, so she is still ultimately responsible. Mancini seems to think she had the authority to come out and defend him, but seemingly you know better than him? Strange. Maybe you can find an 80s pop Youtube video to explain how that works?

I think perhaps you do need instruction on how PR works in 2013. To suggest there "wasn't time because they were all hurrying round in the team hotel on the morning of the Cup Final" shows a staggering naivety of the modern digital media world.

It would have taken seconds to do a 2 line backing of Mancini on the clubs official Twitter / website. That would then be reported as news on SSN, all the sports radio, online papers, social media etc within minutes. Dramatically altering the mood of fans, players and staff.

Even if Mancini is getting sacked, which seems certain, the fact the club didn't come out back the manager on Saturday was a monumental mistake.

So, as opposed to bragging how ITK you are, or how great Vicky Kloss is, actually address the points I've made if you think they are bollocks.

You think the club should've backed the manager publicly on Saturday and then sacked him a week later, and you're accusing others of talking bollocks. Hahahaha.

I'm not sure it's that cut and dried. I suspect that although there's an informal agreement in place between City and MP, there's no signed contract ergo if Barcelona really do want him, and he really does want to go there, we might have a problem.

If that does happen, whoever is behind MP on our shortlist (my guess De Boer) - will have already agreed unconditionally to take the job if it was offered.

I hope you are right that de Boer is next in line but I fear it could be Rafa.

Rafa has done a job at Chelsea under incredibly difficult circumstances.

Dont see why there is so much disrespect for the guy tbh.

Maybe it's just me but I find it hard to understand the hatred for Benitez. Is his record not better than both MP and FDB.

I think we'd all choose an Ancellotti, Mourinho, Hiidink or Klopp, unfortunately we don't seem to be linked with the Stella names. My opinionis that Rafa is as good as any of the others on the list, although the question has to be are they good enough?

Absolutely no chance. Why would two die hard catalans employ a harder dyed madridista who's footballing philosophy is the opposite of what you're looking for? Don't know where that story started from but it's fucking nonsense IMO.

Ha, ha, ha.

Welcome back;-)

I thought De Boer would be the first choice... young, talented, Barca boy and wants to be here.
Still wouldn't surprise me.

Wouldn't be a kick in the balls would it.

Re: Mancini Breaking News Part 4

Werent it talk about Mou, getting on the plane to Manchester? any updates on that one, because that would be something that would cheer me up

Re: Mancini Breaking News Part 4

Wonder if we're still pursuing Cavani. Does Pellegrini want to spend that kind of cash on him? Or is it solely Txiki who runs the show now?

One thing's for sure. After six months of moral outrage at the notion that alternatives to Mancini should be discussed - I think we're on safe territory from here on forwards chatting about the relative merits of De Boer v Pellegrini etc.

I don't get you, what they need to say in that case on Saturday?

Re: Mancini Breaking News Part 4

If the club didn't wish to make a rod for their own back then maybe they shouldn't have publicly courted another manager during the season.

No talks with Pellegrini is absolute bollox.

Deals for players and managers are negotiated and finalised months in advance.

Contracts and rules dictate a stance of we havnt spoke and no deal discussed but we all no thats just not the reality.

The details of this deal will be announced when everyone is good and ready to announce it, simple and until that time, expect all parties to act plain dumb!

Good choice if true

If Pellegrini doesn`t take up our offer I reckon it could be De Boer. And if not this time, perhaps in 2 or 3 years once Pellegrini has done his stint.

Also what if the leak came from the Mancini camp......now that would have been a twist.
