So we've sacked a very good successful manager - fair enough. But now we might not even have a replacement ready - you must be joking.

Would Pellegrini turn down Barca for us?

If the reports about Mancini's job wasn't safe a couple of months ago then I think we will have one or two left field alternatives as well.

Getting the impression things aren't going how our new directors had planned.

Sounds like Mancini has been playing back me / sack me for quite a few months.

Soriano and Begiristain start lining up options for when the boss decides Mancini's time is up. Mostly old pals - De Beour, Pellegrini, Guardiola.

De Beour says yes. Pellegrini says maybe. Guardiola says maybe, in a couple of years, if the whole Bayern thing doesn't work out.

Meanwhile, Pellegrini and his agent start playing Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona and City off against eachother over last few weeks. City directors then meet Pellegrini's agent to see if he's still interested.

Barcelona then decide to call Pellegrini's bluff on the eve of the cup final and leak the story to Ballague, getting revenge on Soriano in the process.

Question is whether Barcelona really want Pellegrini or they just did it to piss off Soriano when the deal was already done.

If the deal is done would have thought the club or Pellegrini would have said it by now. Still sounds very much up in the air.

Meanwhile Mancini doesn't know what the decision is going to be and takes it out on Kloss who knows even less (not good for a director of communications).

Wonder how long they'll wait before going to plan B.

Infact the only English manager he mentions is Alan Pardew.
He does mention Curbishly almost making CL with Charlton.

You're right, he does also mention Curbishley (I briskley read over the final paragraph).

He is another talented English manager, who has been out of work since 2008.

Jesus wept, theirs some tarts on here tonight!!! Pellegini will take over, stop your antics ladies, we're in great hands.

You're becoming embarrassing.

As another poster said on here, There is a, a silver lining of sorts. At least we will be rid of Mr Potato head.

I've no doubt that Platt will be invited (and eager) to resume his old job description on sky... i.e. slagging us of unmercifully at every opportunity (Complete with a big fat compensation cheque, in his pocket)

No reflection on Mancini, but I, for one, will be absolutely delighted when that fat rag twunt is, finally, shown the door.

I'd imagine that's true but it's an ever decreasing pool of talent that can match Mancini.

Right, there has been all this pressure on Mancini for the last 6 months, all media driven imho. Do you not think it`s all been intensified this weekend cos it was cup final???

More drama than 24 or The Sopranos.

Nope, he has been pissing off all of our key people including the players all season and the Cup Final wasn't a one off result.

He was at the helm when we won our first trophy for 35 years. He's the most significant manager I've ever seen at City in my life time and he's about to be sacked. Don't lose sight of that.
