You forgot impatient glory hunter.Dethred said:moomba said:Or you could just spare us the bullshit and explain why you said you were more than happy with our progress under Mancini, but do nothing but highlight the negatives and slag his achievements.
FWIW the statement said "We are ambitious for the club, like you, but not unreasonably so and we understand it takes time to build a team capable of sustaining a presence in the top four of the Premier League and winning European honours."
So I'm not sure how my evidence has proven my own claims are wrong. Progress isn't mentioned in the quote, you've made that up. A timeframe isn't given in that quote, you've made one up.
This is the kind of bullshit that is produced when you allow your perceptions to rule your mentality. You have somehow conjured up that because I have to try and show that, yes there are reasons to consider a new manager, that I do nothing but slag off his achievements. Its unreal.
First of all, I've never claimed there was a timeframe, therefore you made up the notion that I made up a timeframe. Second of all, Europe is listed as a goal. Generally speaking, if I pay large sums of money in an attempt to achieve a goal, I'd expect some measure of progress. There was no timeframe for getting into Europe for Hughes, yet they say no progress in the matter and sacked him. Khaldoon expressed that sentiment in almost the same words.
As someone tried to mistakenly reason, simply doing well domestically and inherently moving into the CL doesn't mean we've actually improved our game in Europe.
But if you want the obvious positives (that we all fucking know anyways), Mancini was hired (to much criticism from the rag media), and was immediately attributed false rumors. The motherfucking scum who said he was in the stands watching just before Hughes was sacked? Part and parcel of the bullshit he immediately had to deal with. He then took a team that was faltering and, but for a lucky touch from the giant stick man, would have gotten us straight into the CL.
He immediately started to improve his English (something many managers couldn't be fucked to try). He got us into 3rd place, but for GD would have been second in only a year and a half, and won the FA cup. That's something few managers could have achieved. This, among non-stop media negativity.
He then took our team of newly assembled egos and won the league. Yes it was close, and yes it was mostly due to United slipping up, but he found a formula of players, media manipulation, and motivation to win 6 matches on the trot.
He's becoming part of the club in a way that no manager has done since my parents were in college. He's a fucking blue.
But NONE of that will change the fact that he has not proven he can handle European competition. He has had two different MASSIVE squads with two different clubs and has failed in every attempt, even in the Europa League. If he is sacked, that will be why. He has made several mistakes domestically, but with Europe not even a factor, he'd be largely faultless up till now. The club sacked Hughes because he wasn't even on track to get us into the CL in several years (probably ever). Now we're seeing signs that Mancini is going to have difficulty getting us past the group stages.

You seem like a detestable WUM and I will happily state it. Why? Because anyone with a modicum of intelligence wouldn't come on a City forum with the word 'red' in their username.
Even if you try and make some tenuous link to Danzig, it is a failure. I am going to stalk you. I want your hate. I will earn it. Yum yum!!
So let's compile a list.
I'm a city fan, but according to about 10 people on this forum, I'm one of the following:
-A Journalist (HAHAHA!)
-An Arsenal fan (how fuck did that even pop into anyone's mind?)
-Hate Mancini (despite the fact that I have the utmost respect for the man)
-I'm two other people (Who I don't even know)
-A rag because the username I've had since the mid-90's for the internet has the word red in it, despite the name starting off as an intentional misspelling of "De-Thread". (and its downright mentally handicapped to think it means anything different)
I'm interested in what else I can become today. I'm shooting for Astronaut.

If City had to deny everything that was written about them there would be no time for football.
Considering the amount of hand wringing and whining from you alone about the managers being linked with the City job, it would be remiss of me to not at least point out that City could easily quash the speculation. Whether you like it or not, the reason City haven't is because they don't want to - which is why we've had players saying they have no idea if Mancini will stay, and Mancini pleading his case via the media about how his players have let him down, the board let him down last summer etc.
Plenty of arguments to support Mancini getting another season IMO- but not many if any credible ones for the wall of silence that has been put up by City with regards to the manager's future. When even the players are being kept in the dark IMO that can only mean at the very least his future is being considered and isn't at all assured.
Billy liar..has a ring to it.:) Dont you get fed up posting shite about people that you cant back up ?? Find one post about me refering to other managers..
And try not to get all hissy as usual... you old woman.

Haha, you're alright Sam. I'm glad you ignored the salient parts of my post as I really didn't want to see what kind of verbal gymnastics you were going to do to try and prove that silence is a good thing for Mancini's job security!

Nothing will ever convince Billy about Mancini. It is his number one passion in life and until Mancini is gone he will never ever be happy. I think he will be oh so unhappy this summer when Mancini has lifted yet another trophy for us and cemented 2nd place in the league. Billy I dont think I am talking out of place here but you are judging Mancini on defeats at Everton,Sunderland and out shocking european adventure..Malaga had a good european adventure didnt they, but are going to win the sum total of fuck all this season.
