Who said anything about winning the league every year? I said our results and performances had declined. Which they have. It's an indisputable fact backed up by the points we've collected this season, our performances in Europe, and how far behind the rags we are.

I feel a bit sorry for you if someone else's opinion on a football manager makes you so angry that you want to metaphorically fight your fellow Blues. It's a bit embarrassing to be honest, the kind of behaviour I'd expect from my young nephews when arguing about football in during their school lunch break.

We all use whatever criteria we feel like when judging on a forum. You clearly don't judge Mancini based on his woeful showings in Europe.

Personally I think our performance against the rags last week and against Chelsea at the weekend show our transfer policy didn't cost us dearly. Having a manager who couldn't motivate his players to play at their best until after the league was lost and Europe was gone is what cost us dearly.

He hasn't failed. I agree,one more chance in europe but to change now we would yet again become the laughing stock.

This post wouldn't have been complete without a little bit of York away, and that above is it. Firstly when you say "yet again become the laughing stock" I presume you're still scarred by previously feeling like a laughing stock. I have no such problem and am not obsessed with what the media or other supporters say about us. So if changing manager means we'll be a laughing stock like I guess you think we were when we sacked Hughes, I've no problem with it.

Failure as a concept is relative. All the players have recently spoken about failing to win the league and how it's not good enough and how that was the aim when the season started.

There is no way IMO Mancini can be trusted with an additional £100m spend just so he can be afforded another six months to see if we get lucky this time in Champs League.

Plenty of reasonable posters on here have stated Roberto deserves at least another shot at the Champs League, but would pull the trigger if he fails again. Fair enough.

But do we then sit tight until next summer to do the deed, affording his replacement to work with the additions that have already got him the sack?

The Champions League has been labelled a lottery by some who have tried to defend his record, the luck element involved, I can appreciate that.

But it is also for me, why an appearance in the FA Cup Final, hopefully going on to win it, should also be treated by the same set of criteria by everyone.

Did he? I wouldn't have thought so, was more worried by Garcia against Kone myself. But I can't remember them having any chances during that time.

To be honest we were rubbish all game last night, but certainly no worse (or better) for the short time we played with three at the back.

Three times Komps was dragged out to the right to challenge Maloney, three times he was left tackling fresh air.

Had Wigan not been a serious threat during the period, Mancini would not have decided to scrap the formation after 13 minutes.

Wigan were never more threatening than during this time and thankfully, Mancini could see it and rectified the mistake.
