The Mad Hatter is the Canine's Testicles for watching City games in New York.

It is a mixture of ex-pat Mancs and locals, who are all extremely friendly.

We had a great day with the regulars and will be going in there again the next time we get to NYC.
It was very odd to hear proper noo yawk accents hollering and whooping for "ciddy". Most noticeable though was their knowledge of the club and they absolutely had no truck for the odd dissenting comment. I told them about DD and Billy Shears. Clearly, these born and bred New Yorkers and Jerry, a San Franciscan, who played football as a kid and picked City 30 years ago for the kit and has stuck with us since, cannot be better fans as the morose twosome who go week in week out.

It was ace.

And what do you know of these relationships?

What, in fact, does anyone know how it works within the club, without actually working there themselves?

Unless you are employed by MCFC, you know nothing, other than what you read in the papers. Which of course, are balanced and impartial.

So tell me, o wise one, are you merely a 'skeptic' or rather a full-on 'epistemological nihlist' or perhaps some strange creature I haven't met before? Your level of self-puffery is quite astonishing, and I wouldn't dream of inviting you to any party of mine.

It's fact BH, neither you or I are party to the machinations of the day to day working of the club or the relationships between the employees. So my questioning of your statement is valid.

Self puffery? You're the one alluding to knowing about how the club works.

You need to take a course in critical reading, if not critical thinking. Re-read my post and see that there is nothing that asserts nor implies that I am 'party to the machinations...' My opinion is instead based on what I have experienced in terms of organizations and how they tend to function, as well as what I have observed of many football (and other sports) clubs through their public histories. Nothing specific nor general about anything going on at MCFC these days. Nice try, though...

Yup, I don't like Dave and I'm indifferent towards Billy, but they are blues and shouldn't be allowed to be called rags without contradiction.
You're wrong.

Stand by this one too.

How tragic is your life Billy that you have these saved?

It really does say more about you than it does me.

-- Fri Apr 12, 2013 2:05 pm --

My word, Billy, is it really true that "Flash" went all the way to New York and spent his time at a City tavern fulminating about you and Dave? If true, then this odd fish is well and truly hooked. No need to reel him in, as we might as well just tow him behind the boat as we return to shore. So, shall we steam, poach, saute or deep fry?

If this thread was an online version of "Happy Days" it's a fair assumption to say we "jumped the shark" a long time ago..

So your opinion isn't based on any "facts" whatsoever then?

Is this a religion thread?
