Mancini (cont)

I am personally getting sick of the way this topic is dividing everyone and causing some of these insults.

Can we just agree that some of think there may need to be a change, and that if there is a better option, that it won't be a travesty to replace Mancini? We can all also agree that some of us want Mancini to be given several more years to grow as a manager and develop the club.

We all want the manager to succeed, we just have different opinions on where the future lies, but none of us can really do too much to affect it either way.

Let's respect the criticisms as valid OPINIONS, and stop this nonsense.

Are you mourinho's agent?

I see that was an unreasonable request? That's the funny thing about criticisms, or opinions (which this is a matter of), they're entirely subjective.

And the great thing about offering a subjective opinion is that there's a fair chance there will be someone that has a different opinion to you, and will tell you so.

Personally thought your comments were so unreasonable and unbalanced that they didn't constitute opinion anyway. More a campaign message.

He has made a reasonable suggestion. Can't wee just move on and leave it rather than sniping back.

We may move on and be happy with our own opinions

Who was sniping? The thread is full of people offering their opinion and others offering a dissenting voice.

Bit late to get all precious about it now.

If anyone wants to have his say without anyone else having the chance to reply to it or criticise maybe the internet isn't the best place for them.

Excellent post (for the first few words). The problem exists when you believe your opinion is valid to the exclusion of others' opinions. That would actually mean you think your OPINION is fact... which is comical.

Ironically, none of my OPINIONS were based on anything short of actual facts. That doesn't make my opinions themselves facts, but it means I actually am thinking, whereas you appear to not be devoid of anything remotely resembling thought. Or do you propose that people who criticize Mancini, such as Ian Cheeseman, are really rags or not city fans at all?

Pathetic as usual, from the usual suspects.

I almost laughed. But yes, that's who I am.

Have I ever called Ian Cheeseman a rag? Or you a rag?

Don't make up things about people you know fuck all about and you'll probably get criticised much less.

FWIW I believe there is a lot of valid opinion in this thread and others from people that want Mancini out.

Mancini Love-in thread

Since some mod merged the thread that already existed, we need an exclusive Mancini love thread. So, i love you Bobby and want to have your babies

-- Mon Apr 15, 2013 9:25 pm --

FFS and that got merged too. *shakes head*

Dethred: Can we please stop with all the pointless insults and have an actual discussion? *immediately makes ad hominem attacks*

I'll give you one thing. You've really got the "whining for civility whilst simultaneously making insults" part down very well. You could offer courses at a university.

Sorry but it just becomes a childish show where the facts become ignored and it becomes a woman fest I don't mind people offering viable counter arguments as grown up should, but surely being personal ain't the way forward.

Mancini got it more or less spot on yesterday and I applaud him for it, but I still wouldn't be disappointed if he was replaced. Hey but that's my opinion

I was offering my opinion about the content of his post. Surely that's the whole point of the internet. I wasn't personal, I didn't call him pathetic and I didn't make derogatory comments about his memory.

Everyone is welcome to an opinion, even Dethred. However if anyone shows a lack of balance, or an ignorance of facts or pushing a long running agenda they will be criticised for it. It happens to both sides of the argument, and I've seen plenty of posts from those that want Mancini out ridiculing the other side.

So I'm surprised it's taken someone 1734 pages to become aware of it or have a problem with it. I'm even more surprised that someone wants to go onto an internet message board to discuss an opinion, but then gets upset if anyone disagrees with it.
