Mancini Doesn't Understand...

The op is indeed completely laughable. We were beaten because of one moment by Rooney. Silvia had a chance first half and missed and united took their chances - in games like this the margins of success and failure are very small. It just shows we aren't quite ready to challenge for the title yet. There's no shame in that - but there is hame in people coming onto a public forum and spouting complete and utter nonsense and slagging off mancini.
we're are undeniably having a better season than we have done in a generation - that's a fact. Ok we beat united under sven - that doesn't mean that team was better than this one. united got beat by wolves - that doesn't mean wolves are better than them.
People need to grow a set of balls and act like men in defeat. Be pissed off - I am - but don't start talking sh*te
No we aren't. We are floundering and about to be displaced into 5th place in a matter of weeks. Wake up.

Bollocks and merely guessing based on biased and lack of a clue.

Go on - name me a season where we were 3rd come 12th feb.

I would call you an idiot but for fear of over-zealous modding.

Grow up.

Man City boss Roberto Mancini on his side's derby defeat: "Wayne Rooney can change every game because he is a fantastic player. But we didn't deserve to lose. We played very well and I'm not worried for the result because this is football. What was important is that we played a good game."

nope, sorry mate, we have to win, playing well is a luxury on top. Obviously you don't understand what the derby means either, so er, well done on playing well and leaving us 5th if Spurs and Chelsea win their games in hand, oh and for also leaving us without any doubt that we won't be competing for the league this season, nice one berto...

What a twattish thing to say. We tried to win it you knob, i'm proud of how he played and thought, you should be too. We didn't set out to draw, and definitely didn't set out to lose, and what good would a draw have been? not much good at all really. We went for the win, we missed a golden opportunity right at the start of the match, we played the better football throughout, and could have won it by two goals on another day.

Get behind the team, get behind the manager, he went for it today, and still people like you find something to moan about. I'm a proud blue today, they really will be shitting themselves about next season now. Let them have one last title for all i care, because from next season we're going to be the top team. We have enough negativity being spurted at our club from outsiders, we don't need our own fans doing it too.

CTID, and if you don't feel the same, then piss off!

Do what you want. But if you wanna have a go at Mancini for being happy with the performance (which everyone I have met today has agreed was good) then I shall call you on it.

The OP is laughable as been stated many many times.

Thought we played well enough, and Mancini is right on that score. In fact I thought Barry (my MotM), Silva and Ya Ya utterly dominated the midfield. What concerns me though, is that we never win the really big games. The difference today was up front. They conjured two goals out of nothing, whilst we had to endure Tevez at his brainless worst. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but he plays with blinkers on at times, his touch was poor and yet again he kept appearing in our half getting in the way. Mancini needs to tell him to pack it in and stay up top, or drop him. Unimpressed still by Dzeko - looks very wooden - but he must be given time to adjust to this league. Just pray that Tottenham don't fucking win

Fooling no one.....This place is infested with the twats.

whilst he is going over the top a little, there is little in this post to suggest he's a rag.

Mancini's decisions were good today, any criticism is plainly knee-jerk and probably just born out of frustration.

We were always going to go 451, so as not to lose the midfield battle, and with De Jong and Johnson out that meant the side picked itself. Having gone behind, he made his substitutions early and they paid off. We then dominated possession, and I bet at 1-1 you were all thinking 'we're going to win this'.

A cross from deep and a wonder-goal, and we're fucked. They defended deep and ground out the three points. Shit happens. 'This is football'.

Evidently I'm fooling you monkey nuts, cos I've been following City for 44 years and a season ticket holder for 26. Which bit of that makes you think I'm a rag? The bit where I said we played well, or perhaps the bit where I said we dominated midfield? Or maybe it was my next post, backing Mancini and criticising SWP's back for moaning about City?!
Tevez was dire today as several others on here have also said. As to not winning the really important games. Hmmm. Today, CC Cup Semi 2nd leg last year, Tottenham at home last year, Boro at home last game 5 or 6 years ago when Fatty Fowler missed a 93rd minute pen to deprive us of European football.......

Harsh that - there's not much else he can say. We were deeply unlucky today, so there's no point coming out and crying about the defeat just because it was the derby. It fucking hurts, but it happens. Ultimately we were nowhere near clinical enough.

This, we have to develop that killer instint because after we equalised Utd were there for the taking, not sure we really had the belief to go on and win it!

I'm wide awake. We ARE having the best season in a generation - look at the league table. what happens in the coming weeks no one knows yet. Just have a bit of grace in defeat and keep our dignity for f*ck sake. We got beat - we need to be p*ssed off, deal with it and keep improving. Just stop flapping and lashing out trying to find someone to blame. There's no one to blame we just aren't quite good enough yet - next season I think we will be

Agree with both of you.

The problem we face is it is difficult to judge Mancini, if we had an average side sitting mid table, replaced our manager with mancini and immediately climbed the table then we'd know his qualities. As it stands we don't know if our good performances are due to the world class players at our disposal, we don't know how much of an impact Mancini's having. Liverpool's resurgence under Dalglish is a clear indication that he's a better manager than Hodgson. We are in an awkward situation when it comes to judging Mancini. Maybe he's doing the best he can but maybe someone like Moyes would be doing just as good or better. Until he wins the big games or a trophy those doubts will remain.
