Personally I don't rate him half as much as our fans/pundits rate him. He rarely has the confidence to take on a man, his delivery on the whole is disappointing and frankly he's too predictable...always cuts inside on his left which is a bit strange considering he's supposed to be two-footed.
I hope he realises his performances of late haven't been good enough to justify him a starting place in our side, the odd goal shouldn't salvage him. He's got no reason to moan if he is left out and has to improve TBH.
i hope he doesn't get a start. i like the kid too, but starting him just doesn't work for the team. we can't afford to give players games just in the hope one day they'll deliver. this includes dzecko. :(hgblue said:yatesy94 said:Have to echo what everyone else has said. Not everyone. Some of us actually rate the lad. Needs to feel wanted and a run of games imo. Maybe he'll get it when Yaya's away?
at what cost???Tevez City said:For GOD SAKE, AJ needs to play more games before you come to conclusion that he is NOT good enough to be a regular starter for City.
Blue Elmo said:I don't give any blame to AJ yesterday, he may not have played well but that was down to a number of factors , none of which were his fault. Whenever he got the ball , their left winger and full back doubled up on him so he couldn't run at them or contribute anything from the wing. Then when he was open and had the chance to run at people , he NEVER gets given the ball. We are a team that play intricate football and because of that, we play sooo narrow. AJ is there to give us width and to give us a different dimension to our game , but if you don't passs to him , it isn't worth him being on the pitch
Ok. Good point, but I have a bad joke for you.ID70 said:Maybe the reason he does actually lose the ball more is that he is one of the few players who actually attempts to take a player on, far too many these days in this country just don't have the skill or ability to dribble past a player and this is what can make a difference.
