Err, because that are better than us all over the pitch?

Which of their games this season have you seen this, furthermore, they were better than us last year and we beat them twice. We've got home advantage and I'd expect us to at least draw. We're a better side on paper that Sunderland and judging by your remarks I'm guessing you know what happened there.

If you do not agree that there is a very real prospect that the current Champions, who have been disposing teams for fun, can beat us on Saturday, fair enough. I'm just not so confident. Even player for player, you'd take their man in the same position over ours.

I can see you're a glass half full character.

Your talking CL qualifaction...I want trophies.

CL qualifiction is bollocks. Firstly, we will not win the CL, secondly, we won't even sell out for the Juve game (effectively a CL match)...why embarass ourselves further...?

Lol

Fair enough, your laughing, I'm not. Your clearly happy with no trophies...good job, I suppose.

I want to qualify for the CL. You don't.

How can you say I don't want trophies?

You also claim that City are an embarrassment in Europe which is an odd statement to make.

Not met a blue before who didn't want to finish top 4 and was embarrassed by our recent European games.

Maybe, I suppose watching 20 odd years of failure does that...I used to have the blind opptimism but I've found it disappears with age.

It's not blind opptimism, it's taking a step back and thinking what's probably going to be better for the club in the long term. Top 4 is better for the club long term than winning a cup that every other set of fans and players will have forgetten about in 2 years time.

Well, you seemed happy about something....

I don't see any value lording it around in the CL if you can't win any trophies domestically and, when you do get a shot at a grand old European powerhouse, you can't sell out your stadium.

Where do you put 'Qualified for CL' on your honours list...?

The Sheikh wants to turn is into a super power. 1 carling cup win won't make that happen. Qualifying for the champions league raises our profile and brings in new money. This raised profile then means we can attract top players and it's easier to win trophies with more money and better players.

Long term.

Are you the manager of the ticket office?

There are a set of supporters who have remembered for 35 years when we last won the league cup.

To treat the league cup like this is simply unfounded arrogance.
