Mancini couldn't care less about what the press thinks, this goes a lot deeper.

He feels he is being left hung out to dry and getting little support from the people that do matter.

Bobby is picking battles with the wrong people and most worringly, he is actively do so.

Who's he picking battles with?

Bobby is seemingly on a death wish, rubbing people inside and outside the club the wrong way.

He knows he is in strong position because of his new contract and doesn't give a fuck.

Mancini has dealt on a daily basis with the Italian media for 25 years, the British pack pales in comparison.

He is a very clever guy and having observed similar scenarios play out, elsewhere, the manager is trying to reassert his authority for a reason, which can be dangerous.

Thanks for responding but I'm still no closer to understanding who it is he's picking battles with.

Is it our new CEO and DOF? Is it Marwood again? Does it go higher than that or is it the the hangers on in the club that whisper in the corridors?

Brennan tweeted that Mancini 'reacted angrily' to a question about the 8 clubs he spoke to.

Sounds to me like our media doesn't get humour.

For someone who's meant to be clever, he comes across as pretty naive at the moment. Pressure from all angles and Friday's quotes have fed the monster. He should have kept his council and he didn't. Now he's complaining because he has to clarify the comments.

We really still haven't learned how to behave like a big club.

It did happen. It's pretty much as quoted in cityislands post.
Good on ya Bob.
It will be on the OS and City youtube channel later. I don't think they'll cut it.

Are you making an educated guess, or do you know something?

Mancini IS being clever. He's far from naive. It's premeditated.

He is creating an end game and putting our owners in an awkward position.

Either way, Bobby sees himself as a winner.

About time someone at the club did in all honesty

Ferguson wouldn't put up with and as much as i hate the twat hes right, ever since Mancini has arrived he been made to answer some provocative questions.Vicky Kloss needs to protect him more in my opinion.

^ This.

Heggie and Kloss aren't much help. For all the money we've spent on players, an academy etc, we've not really kept up the spend in the PR/media relations department. I'd go so far as to say the club is naive in the way they deal with the media.

Most people will tell you they don't really care about bad press, but after a while it starts to grate. There are a lot of things City could do to improve media relations but they just don't bother. I'm not too concerned myself, but it'd be nice to read a few good articles about City once in a while.

What I want to know is what Mario has done with his underpants bearing in mind that it is Bonfire Night and he usually enjoys the festivities.

What annoys me is how they put all this pressure on Mancini when he's a winning manager with an unbeaten team in the league and also AVB is doing ok and he has loads of shit at his door too. Why don't they speak more about the bad job O'Neil has done so far this campaign and why don't they look into Fergusons change of stance in the Rio shirt stuff?

We have done badly in Europe (I don't expect to ever do well with Mancini in Europe, said this last term and not jumped on bandwagon btw) and lost to Villa in the COC but we have the League to win and hopefully the F.A Cup.

Bob did the right thing looking at other clubs, had he not won league he may have been out of work and he did right by looking for alternative employment. The footballing world is a volatile job market and your eyes should always be scanning alternatives. If you thought you may be at risk of the sack or redundancy at work would you not look for work? Really is bollocks what they've wrote and continue to talk about.

Just waiting for the pressure to crank up on Hughes too. That job has Harrys name all over it imo.
