mancini on sky sport

Wasn't Bob's contract up at the end of last season? I may be wrong but when he came in he signed a 3 year deal i think? If so he could talk to who he liked as soon he would have been unemployed until he signed a new contract, which is what he did.

And it was 35 years since winning a trophy and 44 years since winning the league, not 50 Bob,that was long enough, lol!!!

Who's he picking battles with?

Bobby is seemingly on a death wish, rubbing people inside and outside the club the wrong way.

He knows he is in strong position because of his new contract and doesn't give a fuck.

Mancini has dealt on a daily basis with the Italian media for 25 years, the British pack pales in comparison.

He is a very clever guy and having observed similar scenarios play out, elsewhere, the manager is trying to reassert his authority for a reason, which can be dangerous.

Are you making an educated guess, or do you know something?

It's a mixture of both my own supposed 'informed' opinion, and from speaking with people who have the best interests of our club at heart in last couple weeks.

Forget the press, they are just a by-product of the ongoing situation, moving with the ebb and flow of the tide, opportunistic.

Bobby has taken bigger shits than dealing with some of our most outspoken critics.

As clear as mud Tolm. Are we or are we not looking like parting ways?

Thanks in advance if I get a straight reply.

Did it ever occur that despite these people having the best interest of the club at heart that their line of thinking or approach may be wrong?

The majority of football journalists in this country particularly amongst the red tops are sensationalist no-nothing morons, we are too soft with them, we know who they are but we do nothing as a club..f**k 'em!

For someone who's meant to be clever, he comes across as pretty naive at the moment. Pressure from all angles and Friday's quotes have fed the monster. He should have kept his council and he didn't. Now he's complaining because he has to clarify the comments.

We really still haven't learned how to behave like a big club.

Mancini IS being clever. He's far from naive. It's premeditated.

He is creating an end game and putting our owners in an awkward position.

Either way, Bobby sees himself as a winner.

I highly doubt mancini will ever resign. If the owners want to sack him then his comment about the eight clubs could be telling in how mancini see himself as the winner. Regardless of wether he leaves or not he pretty much saying he is a wanted man in Europe.

He has been pretty vocal since the 5 year deal, it well known he want total control like Wenger and Fergie but the appointment of Tixi pretty much dashed those hopes. Plus the managing style of manicni requires that type of status of control ...maybe it the whole role of manager role being reduced to just coaching is irking him a lot. Mancini stated he still choose who comes in the transfer wndow, highly doubt it.

It's back me or sack me.

Clear enough;)

Mancini is not walking that's for sure, no matter what pressure is heaped on his shoulders.

The owners have spent a fortune turning over players from Sven/Hughes reign to current outfit. I believe we are limiting exposure to future expenditure by employing a decorated DOF. We will buy players he believes fit best and a manager isn't needed as such but more of a coach. This means any managerial changes wont affect us on field as team wont be massively changed, just a fresh approach of formations and strategy. Turning over hundreds of millions when we change managers is a long term strategy.

Are you suggesting that Dan Taylor's exclusive came from Mancini's people?
