Who's he picking battles with?

Bobby is seemingly on a death wish, rubbing people inside and outside the club the wrong way.

He knows he is in strong position because of his new contract and doesn't give a fuck.

Mancini has dealt on a daily basis with the Italian media for 25 years, the British pack pales in comparison.

He is a very clever guy and having observed similar scenarios play out, elsewhere, the manager is trying to reassert his authority for a reason, which can be dangerous.

For someone who's meant to be clever, he comes across as pretty naive at the moment. Pressure from all angles and Friday's quotes have fed the monster. He should have kept his council and he didn't. Now he's complaining because he has to clarify the comments.

We really still haven't learned how to behave like a big club.

So as well as Mancini being naive the club are also in the wrong. You're a right barrel of sunshine.

Mancini IS being clever. He's far from naive. It's premeditated.

He is creating an end game and putting our owners in an awkward position.

Either way, Bobby sees himself as a winner.
stop talking in riddles and answer the lads question !

Mancini fans: About time someone stood up to the press. Well done Bob.

Mancini outers: Bob has lost his cool and brought it on himself.

'Twas ever thus!

A lot of nothing in the long run. I'd say Pep looks set for Chelsea and there aren't many others better than Bob.

Quite an entertaining press conference whatever your take.

For the 3rd time Tolmie....is this an educated guess you are making, or do you know something?

I thought these reporters are supposed to ask questions that the public want to hear answers to?

Quite frankly I dont give a shite

The club should do what they do at the swamp, give them a list of questions that can and can't be asked
.In the majority of our press conferences the questions asked are a ratio of 25% about the forthcoming game and 75% about other issues.

So is all this his way of preventing any possible move for Guardiola?

SSN will run a City piece in a few mins, regarding injuries and such. I get the impression we are playing "possum" at the moment?

He is one. If he gets sacked he leaves with a mountain of cash and leaves with a team in the top section of league and reigning champs. A job in Italy awaits and a huge pay off too. Alternatively if he wins the battle at our club he gets more say in things. He has a great hand of cards here, absolutely no doubt about that. I would be the same if I was him too. I think most of us would be the same. If he feels undermined as a manager then he is free to be angry. If he sees weaknesses that need addressing and is rebuffed and the team struggles he gets criticised and is faulted by fans and media and it will be a bitter blow when you called it and wasn't listened to. Must be frustrating.

As a fan I want Mancini to be given at least till end of season and would hate to see him get his p45, still, if we do part ways and recruit Pep it's only a good thing. It's not like 'Arry is getting a sniff is it.

The only way the club suffers is FFP terms really.

Yes, that's exactly what I think to be honest. City should've banned questions about the Monaco story on Friday and we would't be having this conversation ...
