i felt uneasy very quickly when i saw us so defensive at hull in his first few games, he has done very little to convince me since.i like him but i'm not sure we have the time he needs to adjust to the english game. i feel we wasted the sacking of hughes and missed a trick getting the right man in. city should now grow a pair accept they dropped one and make amends asap.

He is not a huge improvement on Hughes is he?

I beat if Hughes was here right now, we would have had similar results/points. At least Hughes was attacking and actually took the game to teams.

I just can't stand how defensive he is.

a trophy is more important

No, finishing in a Champions League spot is far more important in the long term, for the financial fair play, and in attracting the elite players, and keeping the ones we have. Forget what the Rags say, and there 35 year obsession, the league is the ultimate priority, anything else is a bonus. Between 4th, and nothing, and 5th with the FA Cup, its 4th anyday, don't even have to think about it.

winning a trophy and getting that monkey off our backs is the most important thing, spurs are in the champions league elite players are not queing up to join them, the problem we have is we are trying to become a major club overnight which is nigh on impossible, we cant in one season have a new manager,new squad and become part of the elite

building a successful history and reputation takes time and time is something we dont have, this season has taught me that this whole "project" is a lot harder than we envisaged

no mate he not an improvement on hughes but its easy to be wise after the fact, i did'nt want hughes sacked but totally understand why the club got rid.i did'nt fancy bob but we are either with our owners or we are not, we have to trust them. i think they will be as surprised and gutted that bob hasn't to date took us any further, people will say we are top 4 etc but had we give hughes another 150 m he'd have got top 4 and would now have a carling cup under our belts.
i'm very tempted to say give bob the time hughes did'nt get but i just dont think it'll get any better so we may aswell act asap get jose in and start yet again next season. i bet we do fucking brilliant too.

But Mancini is soooo suarve and he looks sexy in his scarf and all the Bluemoon girly boys wouldn't be able to post 'I Love Mancini' threads on here anymore.

But I agree - he's just not good enough. Tonight showed how tactically clueless he is in the Prem. Changes a winning team, leaves out Nige who is vital in a game like Liverpool away.

Liverpool had an 18 year old fullback making his debut. Any decent manager would have put Johnson up against him, yet Mancini leaves him on the other side!

Brings Millner off instead of Slow Mo Barry. Millner was clearly pissed off and unhappy - and he's not normally like that. So that's another disgruntled player to add to the growing list under the great Mancini.

We looked like a bunch of strangers tonight - certainly not a team. Same slooow, slooow, sloooower tempo we've seen all season and been complaining about because you can't play like that in the Prem and win things.

This was Mancini's Waterloo. I fear for the rest of the season now, especially with Tevez out. Dzeko and Barmytelli aren't good enough to score enough goals to get us top 4.

This is the beginning of the end for Mancini...

I can't see Mourinho moving unless he is sacked. He wants to win the Spanish league and will need another season or two.

If they lose to Barca in the games next month, him coming to us will be a reality as Madrid will deffo sack him if they go out in the CL, and lose the cup final.

Owen Coyle would be an improvement on Mancini. Spalletti the ex Roma coach would be an improvement but I guess after Mancini we should go for a manager who is proven.

He's still obviously gona get til the end of the season, but to be honest I would like to see a change.

I would like us to get a manager who will play positive attacking football where we get at teams and impose OUR will onto another team, we deserve it and with all the money that has been lavished on the team, the owners should demand it.

I can't say the team has progressed this season under Mancini, there were some good signs around xmas, but it just seems to have all fallen apart and the lack of a heart/team spirit is just massively evident.

From a neutrals view, I'd say he's done a pretty poor job. To be 13 points behind a pretty poor player for player Man United side compared to other years is really bad given the money spent. Based on pure squads, I'd have City 1st, maybe 2nd to Chelsea, yet you might even struggle for a top 4 finish which should be the absolute bare minimum. He had half last season and a full pre-season and still can't get it going.

City are a club now that could attract just about any manager in the world, probably bar Ferguson/Wenger. Sticking with Mancini would be pretty daft when there are plenty of other managers out there who could do a lot better and play much better attacking football with the players you have at your disposal. It's actually quite frustrating, I love football, I love great football even more. City should be taking the game to likes of United/Arsenal etc...not looking to simply go there for a point and look to keep it tight. That's for the likes of Blackburn, Stoke, heck even us at the minute.

You should be challenging for the title, not trying to hold onto 4th place. Which is even worse because you don't play attacking football, pretty football at times but not aggressive.
