If I asked you what on earth Mancini had to do to be sacked, what would it be?

If I asked:

1.) Drop out of Europe (for the second year running) completely in the bottom of our group and not win a single match (even against Ajax)?

2.) Be out of league contention and in a terrible run of form which could possibly see us out of the CL all together next season?

3.) Have #2 above happen in early FUCKING FEBRUARY???

4.) Drop out of the League Cup in the first match against an abysmal Aston Villa relegation candidate?

5.) Making tactical decisions that led DIRECTLY to #1-#4 occuring IN THE SAME SEASON???

The clock is ticking with FFP, and Aguero's goal had one undesirable consequence: Mancini got a new contract. Hell, him threatening to quit when PSG were trying to sign Balotelli for 40M is reason enough to sack the man. That's 20M he's directly lost us already this season, when the reigns of FFP are tightening. He's been a disaster since May 13th.
You can tell pantomime season is over all the drama queens are back in force
Keep it civil please we are getting sick & tired of all this blue on blue abuse
That was not abuse just fair comment on some of the utter crap in this thread

It’s a coin toss basically whether he stays or goes.

Do you let Mancini survive another season based on his achievements with us in a short space of time?
Season 1 – Came in after Hughes midway during the season. A very poor run of draws under Hughes and he takes us to within a win of 4th
Season 2 – This time, we outplay spurs off the park. 4th is ours… The FA CUP victory also follows.
Season 3 – Wins the Premier League title, ending our multi-decade long wait.
Season 4 – Poor league performance, poor champions league performance, poor man management skills and a possibility of no trophies.

Based on the evidence above, I am in the boat that votes in favour of him for another season.

However, I am 100% behind the others saying that MANCINI is not our Wenger or Ferguson. He cannot be here for years upon years. We need a new manager when the time is right. Not sacking our current gaffer due to a lack of progress (like many of you are pleading for!)

There is no one who can replace Mancini at the moment who we can say yes, he will be here for 10 years. So until that occurs keep him and when it does, let’s applaud him and then look forward to our future endeavours

Perhaps Mancini hasn't become a bad manager overnight.
Perhaps he's always been a bad manager but was lucky enough to have an extravagantly talented squad that fed on its own success and its hunger to prove the doubters wrong and now need help and guidance and management to do what is generally recognised as one of the most difficult achievements - retain the title.

Season 4. Poor Champions League form incontestable, but poor League form?

We've just dropped a little bit below the standards we set last season. And when you take injuries and some bad luck into account, the dip is understandable. Champs League was down to huge and repeated errors by defenders and a keeper who are normally so sound

We've stood still or gone backwards because the squad is weaker despite spending £50m. Not sure if that's Mancini's fault, but I suspect not.

Based on total conjecture, and contrary to everything our players say in the press.

I hate this criticism, it seems to be the staple put down for Mancini, yet based upon no evidence whatsoever other than you suspect bad form is because they're pissed off with him.

Fair in your opinion.

Not a great line to follow your previous request either way.

In a nutshell!

Mancini: "The players should take responsibility - if they have big balls. If not, they can’t play in a top team."

Who is the target of his warnings besides the obvious (Nasri)? And is he saying those who don't perform from now until the end of the season are finished at City?

Can't be much fun moderating this forum at the moment.

Or maybe the manager without balls can't manage a top team.
