Yes, stability in all the top clubs...

Like Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, AC Milan. Yep, all of them have had managers in place for 10+ years for each stint. Sarcasm.

You'd have a point about Mancini, except he's probably the only manager in the CL and in the PL who even us fans can point to and say "Wow, what a fucking stupid decision that was. What on earth was he shooting into his veins to cobble that together?"

Ignoring all the forum backbiting over the past 20 pages, imho Mancini isn’t going to go away. Anyone who thinks or hopes for otherwise at this moment in time is going to be disappointed, I hope. Last summer we were hamstrung by incompetence, now we have Txili and Ferran running the shop. This season hasn’t been a write off, because it is a learning curve. I don’t think our top brass at the time had a plan for AFTER we won the league.

Mancini is key to the Project, we will suffer a setback if we get rid.

I’m City til I die first and foremost, whoever the manager is, but I do feel that some fans are buying into the media hysteria regarding Mancini’s tenure as boss coming to an end. Apart from those who have always banged that drum.

I’m as pissed off as the next guy about some of our abject performances this season, but I don’t think the blame lies solely at Mancini’s door. And given the past 3 years, I think he deserves more time. With the proper backing and Mancini at the helm, defensive shackles off, imho we’d be unstoppable.

This season isn't indicative of the future.

well thats it aint it.

west brom away
norwich away

who is responsible for getting 10 men through a tough game and then win it??

all managers make decisions that fans dont understand and its probably because we arent privvy to the office politics, managers stubborness, players throwing hissy fits, un-reported injuries, players contractual obligations etc etc

I really interested to see just how many people backing Mancini would have a different opinion on him, if he hadn't of won the league.

At the end of the day without United's bottlejob last season, this season would be exactly like last season.

He can't compete with millions to spend, tactically he hasn't got it.

The fuck up from the rags and the quality of the side got him over the finish line.

70% of people IMO who kiss his arse, wouldn't have been if he hadn't of won the league.
All this knowledge from a keepie uppie specialist!
Wow looks like the Sheikh backed the wrong horse.

GAT

Sorry for having an opinion GAYLORD.

Yeah, this IS keepie uppie's isn't it, so so easy of course....

You don't just sack a manager for the sake of it! All the best clubs and most successful clubs have stability- which is something we have never had. Sacking Mancini would be a club disaster! It's very typical City to sack another manager and I'm completely ashamed of some our fans on the board, because of a bad season want Mancini gone. Who do we get if we sack Mancini?! I hear Moyes, Laudrup and Klopp on this forum, none of which are more successful than Mancini. Until this season, Mancini had been the most successful Premier League manager since his arrival. He's won a trophy each season and if he had got the players he wanted in the summer, would be adding to the trophies he already has with us.
Ferguson has had bad seasons at United, like Mancini may have with us this season but there's no need to fire him and replace him, if anything the players haven't done It for him this season. I've seen many below par performances from our best players and many unlucky games in which we should have won. The difference is Van Persie, end of story.

Totally Agee.. Fans should just think back to the appointing Mancini and how that feeling was when we hadn't won fuck all for 35 years and being taking the piss out of and mocked by that banner at the scum Mancini came along promised that it will be pulled down then a year later winning the league and now with this so called blip(second in the league) some fans want him out beggars belief really..

The banner, 35 years, being mocked, etc. Not really important. Progress on the pitch - very important. So on that basis, since we haven't progressed on the pitch since October/November 2011 and since our current trajectory is downwards, the only thing that beggars belief are those City fans who think that Mancini isn't under pressure and shouldn't be under pressure. He has contrived to throw away the league title by mid Feb, regardless of his protestations in yesterday's press conference. Like he said, Khaldoun, they, are not happy.

-- Sat Feb 16, 2013 11:55 am --

Wonder what this thread will be like if we dont get the right result tomorrow..

No different than it currently is. Lots of people who don't rate and Mancini thinking he should probably get sacked at the end of the season. Lots of mock righteous indignation from those who think his tenure/job shouldn't be questioned ... easy. :)

Mancini's done well for us, but we now need a manager to take us to the next level, our performances have been a shadow of last season, and our CL campaign was an absolute embarrassment, This season we have struggled, the football whilst still good at times hasn't been as entertaining, and its obvious that some of the players just dont want to play for him anymore, Hes won us the league and the F.A cup and a community shield, but will we ever win the CL with him as a manager?

and for people who say they would prefer the premier league, no chance, you cant be an elite club without winning the CL.
