Claptrap. Best manager in England? Don't make me laugh, Bobby. We all know who that is, as sad as it is.

It's the media's favourite fuck-all-winning Moyesie

Lets lynch him for being factual
It would be Di Matteo actually, and he got sacked.

I read it as him being the best manager over 15 months who is still managing in the premier league.

Heard the interview on the radio yesterday and he was indeed just the making the point that he has the best recent record of all the current EPL managers. Whether he will still be able to say that at the end of the season is another matter but nowt wrong with yesterday's comments.

I feel he's playing mind games. He's won the most domestically and technically he's right, but he's only saying it for the reaction I think.

he needs to deal with those questions better and bat them off, he doesn't have to defend himself to anyone outside the club & fans. we can quickly and easily be right back in the title race, that's where the focus should be
Some may see what I am about to post as a bit lame, but given English isn't hsi first language, then maybe the club should be doing more to coach/protect him? Maybe the club should make it clear pre and post match only questions relating to the game will be answered etc?

City is a big machine with many parts that make it work. Mancini is not the single entity that makes it tick and if what he is saying to the press is not the right thing to be saying in the club's view then they should help the man. As it seems they aren't doing this, I'm assuming they are either happy with him doing it, are not arsed or giving him enough rope?! :)
It's his job to deal with the press, mate. I think the clubs actually have an agreement with sky to make their managers available. To be fair to him, whilst he never says anything of any substance to them, the flip side is he's usually pretty good at not letting them suck him into silly vendettas.

And no one wants to be accused of having a vendetta ;-)

I Think he has done well but we need someone else to take the project to the next stage. If we win the cup and he decides to leave on a high note, his spell at the club will be remembered for being a succesful one, If he stays, spends millions and we underperform in the Chamions league again it would be a complete disaster for him and he would be labeled a failure. Pressure will be extremley high next seson if he stays, will he cope

Does anyone think Mancini himself might decide enough is enough at the end of this season?
He was lining up alternative jobs for himself towards the end of last season, when it looked like we'd blown the league, and he'd be given the sack. Whats different this season, apart from the fact we have actually lost the league this season.
It wouldn't shock me to see Mancini leave of his own doing this summer.

If he stays, we do well in the champions league and win the league it will be onwards and upwards.

Mancini leaving or the deck of cards falling down aren't the only two options.

As I mentioned last night. There is little evidence to suggest that Mancini will be able to improve on his CL record next season, baring in mind we will more than likely end up in a group with two top teams again. If he is given the opportunity then I can't help but think it will be the very definition of last chance saloon and failure ie. not progressing from the group, would not be tolerated.
