There is nothing wrong with those comments.

It's similar to hearing Di Matteo saying he's the best manager in Europe over a similar period.

I read it as him being the best manager over 15 months who is still managing in the premier league.

Let's get this season over with, put it behind us (hopefully with the FA Cup and 2nd place in the league in store) and see what the owners decide to do.

Hopefully in the summer, if we stick with Mancini they get him the players he wants. If they get someone else in to do Mancini's job, they get the players they want. Either way, let's make sure we build on what we've got in the summer and push on.

Onwards and upwards mate. One disappointing season in 3 years isn't cause for too much concern just yet.

Don't mind the sometimes high calibre debates on Mancini's pros and cons based on tactics and performances - but some of the attacks on him on here recently have just been attempts to keep Mancini out agendas running. If he was photographed walking down street there'd be a thread about him going the wrong way or wearing the wrong type of shoes.

Some may see what I am about to post as a bit lame, but given English isn't hsi first language, then maybe the club should be doing more to coach/protect him? Maybe the club should make it clear pre and post match only questions relating to the game will be answered etc?

City is a big machine with many parts that make it work. Mancini is not the single entity that makes it tick and if what he is saying to the press is not the right thing to be saying in the club's view then they should help the man. As it seems they aren't doing this, I'm assuming they are either happy with him doing it, are not arsed or giving him enough rope?! :)
