Ive backed him all the way, but that performance at weekend smelt of a man that had lost the respect / belief of his players, they were certainly not playing for him.

The following when you look at them really don't look good

1. Win the league and then decide you are going to play 3-5-2, and ruin a pre-season becuase of his own stubbornness as he wouldn't let it go, even though it was clear it was never going to work. the team nneed a little bit of tweaking, and pace adding to it, nothing more...so a complete change of tactics is suicidal really

2. loss of NDJ as a player and personality, the players clearly loved him and his attitude. you only have to look at pics at ac milan to see how players are with him

3. The balotelli situation really became a joke, particularly after his performance in the euros

4. Javi Garcia, Rodwell, Kolarov, Maicon, Nasri, sinclair....needs not further comment really

5. Loosing at home to villa in the cup, another storming gaz baz performance...

6. Going out of the champs league early doors

7. The lescott situation hasn't be handled well at all

8. publicly criticising players, is never going to go down well

9. Missing out on 2 major summer targets RVP and Hazard

11. The last few months havn't really looked right, apart from arsenal away, i think we have been average at best. the body language and attitude (apart from zabba and serio at times) has been shocking. I have followed city for 35 years, and seen some right shite play for us, but i can accept it when they put the effort it.

12. The southampton performace was absolutely horific, i don't think its possible to over exaggerate it...it was fucking shocking

the only positive for me, if you can call it that, is the fact that surely they cannot perform like that again.

We cannot afford to finish lower than second imo, as we need the brand to keep growing.

I personally thik he will be gone before the season is out...

Let's take loyalty out of this...
RM should have been sacked last year If it wasn't for.....
This year the blame is more on the summer business... we spent a lot of money and gambled on a lot of players Nasty paid off and MAYBE Garcia and didn't strength much....
But the squad is still amazing and under performing too many times individuals saved the game for us

U keep RM it's still a risk still unproven ....I like the way we play when in form but u can't always be in form and how much of that is based on individual skill of the players.
If he can give youngsters chance and rejuvinate The team & narrow the gap + another FA cup.. he should stay

U sack him surely there will be improvement and there is a clause that allows a sack this summer wo pay off.
probably gone spend big on the summer ... easier to build a team
The q is who u gone bring in.... not Jose .. not good relation with Tiki
so u got no good manager to replace him with

please re type, in english.

Sorry typed that while I was half asleep.
It looks more like a thought chart.

good post, mate, and one I would agree with most of. I'd throw in his ridiculous perserverence with Nasri, inability to get the best from the forward line, insistance on playing Ya Ya deep and awful substitutions (why does he keep taking Silva off???) as other problems this season.

But your first point is a pertinent one. This insistance in pushing 352 at the beginning of the season threw the whole season off kilter. We played it in every pre-season and it lost us our CHampions LEague place. It was a catastrophic decision, and one that looked like it would be that at the time. We have not got the personnel for this system. I think it derailed our season and piled the pressure on everyone.

Yeah your right with the Yaya thing as well, he was like our felaini last year, nobody would handle him, so why put the head back on him? the whole season doesn't make any sense to me, im on the fucking floor with it. im sorry if i sound like a johnny come lately spoilt brat, but ive dreamed about getting to this level, winning the league etc, i never thought i would see it. and now we are doing our best to fuck it up! i just don't want mancini to make enemies of the players, and them start to leave, like he did at inter

We have finished the last 2 games with 4 full backs on the pitch. In both of those games we required a goal. As you say, in both of those games he took off Silva- granted, he was grossly sub-standard in both games, but still our main creative source.

Was Richards fit we would probably have had 5 full backs on the pitch.

As narrow minded as it may seem, that tells me what I need to know about his insistance on using a system that doesn't work.

You don't sound like a johnny come lately spoilt brat mate. You sound like a City fan who cares, and understands that the way things are going, we are facing a set back.

Just remember- Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs would all love to be second in the Premier League!! United are shit, the quality overall the past few seasons has been shit, Not enough quality players willing to play in premiership anymore, Germany is where it is happening.

I've heard this comedy line a few times now- if we had signed Rvp we'd be top now. Talking like we are some kind of Swansea with a couple of kids up front.

We had four strikers who cost more than 25 million. All four had the capabilities and track record to get20-30 goals per season. Our strike force was the envy of Europe. It's a crap and embarrassing excuse. Van persie is no better than aguero, it's just that unlike Mancini, ferguson knows how to slot him into a well designed and balanced team.

That's a good point well made

When we don't play with pace and urgency Aguero is none effective, he needs quick sharp play around the box, this slow patient build up play is bollocks to him.
Correct mate. We had four top line strikers and haven't been able to get the best from any of them this season.

Disagree, that we have/had 4 top strikers and would question the suggestion that they were the 'envy of europe'. Fans themselves have questioned the capabilities of Dzeko and Balotelli. Aside from Augero, Van Persie is a far better and clinical finisher than Tevez, Dzeko and Balotelli . This seasons goalscoring stats are evidence of that. Nothing to do with 'talking like swansea', Utd bought a goalscorer and goals, despite already having quality and only losing on goal difference. Arguably their strike force was also the 'envy of europe'.

Spain, Germany and then the Prem in terms of quality of the top teams in my opinion. The bottom half of the prem is still better than both of those leagues though, that is why they say it's harder to win the prem. Now they've brought in the stupid FFP to the prem it won't help attract better players.
