I've got things crossed but I'm far from excited, I've still got this niggle!
flb said:Jose Mourinho says he will return to England when he leaves Real Madrid - but reckons he will not get the chance to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
Mourinho, whose side face United in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg, is tipped to leave the Bernabeu in the summer after a dismal Spanish title defence and amid reports he has fallen out with several key players.
The former Chelsea boss refused to clarify whether or not he would be at Real next season but confirmed his desire to be back in the Premier League.
He told reporters: "I will go back to England after Real Madrid. We will see (when that is).
"I love everything (about England). England will be my next step."
Mourinho has been linked with Manchester City and former club Chelsea but joked he would not take over from 71-year-old Ferguson.
"No," he said, when asked if he could replace the Scot. "I think we have to end our career at the same time. Him at 90 and me at 70."
He seems pretty set on managing in England again doesnt he,this is an interview from the 13th Feb.
Cant see him going back to Chelsea, although if they hadnt dirtied his ambition of winning the CL with an English club it most probably would make Chelsea favourites.
The timing is right this time for him to come to City,a club who will surpass anything Chelsea will ever do and who hasnt yet won the CL.
Mancini will always be remembered at City for what hes done but God like status awaits Mourinho if he comes to our place-if he fell in love with Chelsea then he aint seen anything yet until he sees what our fans are like.
Make it happen Txiki

How very insightful.....
Yeah very insightful supporting our most successful manager in how many years.
Your love for Mourinho comes from where???
Keep taking the pills meanwhile I will support the club and the manager until he is deemed surplus to requirements should our owners/chairman decide to change.

If he doesn't win the CL this season then imo he'll never win the CL with a Spanish club, which will be a huge blot on his resume, that he failed where everyone else has in recent years at Real Madrid.

Absolutely Col. Do some fans think we have got trigger happy owners like Chelsea or is it just me.I think the problem with many is that they believe what they read about Mancini and listen to utter pricks like Danny Mills and take it as gospel instead of just listening and only believing what comes out of the club.

Brilliant.
Please show me where I have shown my apparent 'love for Mourinho', as I didn't realise I had.
And supporting our most successful manager doesn't make you insightful by the way. It makes you supportive of our manager, but you might want to check the dictionary definition of insightful.
I happen to think Mourinho is a better manager than Mancini, but would love you to show me where I have shown on this thread I 'love' him, as you accuse me of doing.
I love City. I support City like you do. I go to the games week in week out, so I don't think my support can be questioned. The problem with this whole argument is it is all about taking the moral high ground. Posters who are 'FORZA MANCINI' immedietly believe they are supporting the club better somehow just because they are completely behind the manager.
Please though, like I said, re read what posts I have made. I just think Mancini could be doing a better job this year. He is underperforming- without question.
Anyway mate, I'll keep taking the pills....for what., I'm not quite sure....didn't really understand that one.

I rather like the idea of a wounded Jose rocking up with a point to prove.
Oh yes.

Dave-Afternoon mate,hope you are well.

Why not email the club then..Tell them your concerns etc.
Having won the league in May last year and you (and many) now want our clubs manager to take a walk because we MAY not win something this season is quite simply fucking laughable. I bet you were singing his name 8 months ago.
You are entitled to your opinion but your blind idiocy twds our current manager is somewhat strange. Why do you think the rags have been so successful? Do you think going back to chopping and changing manager every season or 2 is going to bring stability and more success. Mourinho has done fuck all at Madrid this year. He is a good manager but not what we need.

Theoretical scenarios are silly, fella, with respect.
It doesn't matter who is our manager. You look at his entire tenure, all facets, and if he is deemed to be wrong for the future you get rid. It's no more complicated than that.
I don't want Mancini replaced because we haven't won anything this year - it happens. I want Mancini replaced because I don't think he's good enough to deliver what we need in the future. And the same standards apply to any manager.
St Helens Blue (Exiled) said:He's been good enough the past 3 seasons so what has changed? The european scenario? With respect back mate united,Arsenal,Chelsea all would have struggled in our group this season and last season to go out with 10pts was damn fucking unlucky.
Very presumptuous p.o.v you have there.St Helens Blue (Exiled) said:The cookie monster said:St Helens Blue (Exiled) said:Fuck Mourinho.
