Mancini Protest

people keep saying this "someone elses squad"....what we seem to forget is these "someone elses players" managed to beat teams in the past, as they were asked to play to their better abilities

mancini has taken the same players and stifled them into a role he wants a player to perform in that position

now, i am not saying this is wrong....mancini has a vision for his team and a way he wants to play

my argument is; if mancini doesnt currently have the players to be able to adequately play in the style mancini wants, then mancini should be implementing a tactic that will get the best out of the players we currently have and i'm afraid his current tactic of trying to nick a draw is not the ideal way to approach it

then next season he can replace those players that dont fit into his style of play

Mancinis first task was to shore up a leaky team. Our GD is now the best of our rivals - we didnt nick draws against Burnley and Brum. If it hadnt been for a last minute lack of concentration we'd have picked up two draws against Utd ad Ars, which most of us wouldve taken beforehand - and wouldve seen us now in 4th with 2 home games from 3. Blame ireland, SWP and Bellers for that, not Mancini
I love this 'leaky team' shite. It'll be the nexy guys task to score some gols "coz the attack doesn't leak enough goals".

Why is it shite - we were leaky. Or would you prefer a different term?

is this thread a joke or not? cant work it out. seriously tho. we need to get behind the manager no matter what. i backed hughes right till the end even though we were clearly not good enough. mancini is clearly a results driven person. doesnt play fantasticly attractive football but he gets some decent results and thats all the matters. lets not kid ourselves. hughes wasnt doing either.

Our record under Mancini is one of the best in the league, if it was replicated over an entire season we would pretty much be guaranteed 4th. How is it that this is being ignored?

is ignored and so will be. it dont deal with the agendas

i beg to differ mate....hughes had us scoring some great goals and playing very attractive football at times and tbf we have seen more attacking flair play under hughes...the problem was the defense with hughes

now we are playing this stifled form of attack, whereby we shore up the defense at the expense of our attacking style

yes, we have been more clinical under mancini and scored more with fewer chances, however, i feel this is more a case of the strikers finding form or getting to know one another, more than mancinis influence

People just seem to have it in for him.... because they were Hughesophiles.

Mancini has done incredibly well for us and desrves much more praise than some on here are reared to give.... cant think why they go against him, after all we are all supposed to be City fans... aren't we?

You can be trusted to bring that last touch of class to a thread.

There's also a few ITK reputations on the line if Mancini's still here beginning of next season - especially if we don't get 4th.
