Mancini Removed From The Stadium

I can't believe I have just read a City fan suggesting we bought the title, as if we don't hear it enough from all quarters, all day every day.

Unbelievable.

On that sad note I am off to get ready to watch the game :(

I didn't say we bought the title. The title isn't for sale. You can spend all the money in the world and end up not winning the title.

Mancini will always be a legend and the poster outside the ground is neither here nor there.

I am guessing Joe makes a save on the new poster. I will double check when I reach the ground.

I think under the circumstances, with the new season starting with a new manager, and Mancini's tenure ending in a strained and unfortunate manner to put it mildly, it's not really that big a deal if a poster of him has been taken down.

I actually agree with a few people who have said that the time will come when he will take pride of place in our hall of fame for the trophies he brought. That time however, isn't a few months after he was unceremoniously sacked.
All fair comment Billy.

Thanks Skash ... I daresay that's why the post was roundly ignored ... :)

Way too sensible Billy lad ;-)
All good points but like I said, too sensible and lacking in drama somewhat!

-- Mon Aug 19, 2013 1:49 pm --

I thought this might be about him coming to collect his bike from the ground and Security not letting him in!.

I chuckled at that!

it would've been special if he didn't spend over £285 million.

Was does this mean then ?

Also to address your other comment about him winning nothing last year, so what we came 2nd the next best league placing since the 70's, we also got to the FA Cup final for only the third time in my 36 years.

To be blunt it was hardly a terrible season, a terrible season was being relegated to the lowest point in our history or seeing that fucker Pleat dance across the turf at Maine Rd waving his hands in the air, Lake breaking down on his comeback, these are terrible memories, not coming second in the Premiership.

We have berated the rag twats for this attitude during the sky years of football and after 3 seasons of being challengers it is beginning to happen to a fair few City fans.

its okay to not make it to the knock out stages in the champions league. we did have a tough group.

its okay to come 2nd in the league.

its not okay to lose an fa cup final vs wigan.

okay mancini won the league in 2011/12 , but its nothing special, its expected, just because it was the first in 45 years doesn't mean mancini is some sort legend.
