Won't happen, but out of curiosity, what would people's opinions be if he replaced Moyes at United?

I'd be happy. That means they won't hire someone like Klopp. And it would be his ego against Rooney, RVP, Fergie and the rest of that entitled mob. Wait until he throws his first fit about not being able to spend money, the conflict with the Glazers would be hilarious.

Someone once described him as a chequebook manager, and that fits him perfectly. He'll take the biggest spending club in the league and give them one domestic trophy per season. Forget about Europe, it's hopeless.

Klopp is the type of manager to go in quietly and bring a team through based on it's existing strengths. Dortmund are certainly not a club that has spent a lot of money but just seems to of been very careful with it's youth recruitment but that time has now passed and they are in decline as their better players move on.

I hope they do get Klopp because I don't think Klopp is all that he's cracked up to be. With a good amount of funds he still isn't proven at all. Aside from his time at Dortmund he was also manager at Mainz for nearly 9 years and took them to relegation whilst winning nothing whatsoever. I watched them play in the Champions League final last year and they were very well beaten by Bayern in the end.

Re: Mancini @ Galatasary Thread (no City stuff)

the simple truth i that if the rags approached him he would talk to them. he will still be very respectful of us as fans, but he will want to prove a point to the MCFC owners and playing staff. the very thing we didnt want(hard as nails boss nor giving a fuck who anyone is) is just what the rags need now

that 6-1 cut them very deeply and left a scar, hiring him will help the healing.

No way would he take the utd job,he respects us fans too much, spurs on the other hand

Managers and players don't see things quite like us fans though. Whatever anyone thinks of the shower in the next city, they are quite an attractive job for a manager, I would have thought. On the floor, squad in need of complete overhaul, pots of cash for transfers being promised and a chance to put one over on the blokes that sacked him.

Why would a serial winner like Mancini go to Spurs? Looking at what might be available in the summer in England, he would only go to Spurs if the rags or Arsenal didn't go for him. I reckon he'll be there like a shot, with lots to prove to lots of people. I would like to think he wouldn't wear the scarf, but he's done it everywhere he's been so I wouldn't be surprised.
No criticism of the man but I wouldn't think his ego would let him turn it down if offered. Let's hope it's not!!!

I think leonardo might go to spurs.

sorry just though I'd pop that in.

Maybe but I doubt it, Mancini has proven himself in England and won trophies in most of the clubs he has been at, plus he is a pretty decent team builder which is what Spurs need at the moment.

I think Mancini is perfect for Spurs if you ask me, shame he didn't get the Bale money to work with because he could have built a very good side.

It's Mancini's wages that will put Levy off though.

you have a point in that he might listen to an approach, but do you really think Manciti would actually contemplate going to ManUre?

- and wouldn't it have to be an absolutely *incredible* offer, and if we leave sentimental reasons out of it - because I genuinely think as a passionate footballing man he wouldn't consider ManUre (and he's always gone for the more disadvantaged position, and done things the hard way) but would their directors even think of a manager like him as being in the mould of the kind of manager they'd wish to appoint?

before Manciti would even appear on their radar I think they'd be a whole host of other managers ahead of him, Mourinho being another (extremely unlikely) one.

Re: Mancini @ Galatasary Thread (no City stuff)

As much as we loved him and he loved us, a job is a job at the end of the day and could see him taking it if offered. Would hate him to go there.

Oh, think twice, it's another week of Moyes and then it's Allardyce.
