He was just a guy with a minority opinion, I never understood why so many became so angry at him. Even during the times I disagreed with him, it never occurred to me that I should be offended by his beliefs.

Because unlike Billy Shears, DD is just a nasty bastard. Hardly a post goes by without him hurling horrible little insults in every direction. He is just plain old unpleasant and I wish he didn't support our club.

You mean he was right and you weren't?

And that notwithstanding, I watched him get continuous grief for his views on Mancini from an assortment of "inners".....JCL, not a real fan, hater, feck off and support Chelsea, rag etc etc

Tut, tut.

Now you know it's an absolute crime as a City supporter to have the same sort of view as our Director of Football and Chief Exec, oh, and, apparently, Sheikh Mansour.

All managers eventually get sacked. Criticising someone for years doesn't mean you're some kind of football nostradamus when he finally gets sacked.
I could quite easily say pellegrini is shit and say "I told you so" when he's eventually sacked (which he will be eventually).
But me criticising him for the next two years before he is sacked doesn't actually mean he hasnt done an an excellent job in the meantime.
The blog talks about rumours and haircuts and criticises for his performance when we beat united at wembley in a match that I feel transformed the club.
It's these silly comments that undermine the article because there are certain things I agree with re formation etc. But when you see him being criticised for his haircut, armani jacket and (understandably) not wanting to get soaked with champagne, you realise this isnt a balanced article.
It has been written by someone with a clear agenda which leaves all other comments in the article fairly redundant.
I'm glad I've read it though because it is quite enlightening in terms of the way mancini has been perceived and judged by some people. You realise that some of what they is is correct but it's unfortunately clouded by the desire to always look for the negatives in his management rather than the positives.

I know DD claims to state facts, as well as express opinion(s).

Is the problem that he is lying, or that his facts are in fact, facts, but should not be spoken of?

Is the problem his conclusions? That is, even if one accepted that his facts are actually facts (and not fictions), it is unreasonable and in bad faith to draw the conclusions he does?

Or is the problem that he has omitted facts that are inconvenient?

Or is the problem similar to that of the funeral, where everyone knows that everyone is either flat-out lying about the deceased or exaggerating a thimbleful of virtue (whilst ignoring vice by the gross), but fear that social disintegration will result if the truth were stated, and simply, causes everyone to play their part?

Is it something else? Must be. It seems the response to the substance of the piece is, for the most, to call the author "fatty", "speccy", "spazzo", and the like.

Anyway, DD you are worser than Hitler and I hate you.

the article is funny to read, sounds like dd had it in for bobby,at the end of the day every city fan would of took a premiership 2 fa cup finals one won the night he replaced hughes. twatted utd 1-6 spurs 1-5 playing some very good football.im a bobby fan and belive he should of been given next season to put this one right,ok this season has been poor but looking at the bigger picture utd were on for a record points total until two weeks ago and were the team thats finished 2nd so without that we could of got over the line and won the league without them doing this.van persie aside we,d of won the league.mancini wanted van persie because he knew the conseqences of his impact and when he joined the scum you saw bobbys body language change.deep down he knew utd would be harder to stop, brian marwood in a way put the nail in his coffin, also mancini wasnt the barca boys choice of manager so was always on borrowed time, city will carry on and hopefully progress, but whatever other people say about mancini he,l always be a legend.theres an old saying in life becarefull what you wish for. i hope for the bobby haters they are proved right but i dont think we are making great strides appointing a manager who has won the inter toto cup in the early 90s

Some outers just can't stop point scoring If you say the same thing often enough you will eventually be right a la the broken clock.

Very 'my dad's bigger than your dad" Exeter. Why don't we all just get behind the team we love and move forward ?

That's the second time you've accused me of repeated crowing (the last time was mentioning StHB's phone call to that twat Irani), and it's the second time you've been wrong. This is the first time since Mancini's sacking that I've even mentioned "inners" or "outers", precisely because I knew that some knobhead would jump all over it and accuse me of triumphalism, if I did. QED. As per the Irani thing, if you're gonna throw accusations around, then be sure you're right please.

And I'm right behind my team thanks, just as I have been for the better part of half a century
