I said myself after the Everton game that Mancini's ego has cost us dear this year but we surely knew from the moment he hung that the giant picture of himself behind his desk in his office at Carrington that same ego was crucial to his personality and his successes.Didsbury Dave said:

I haven't read the piece yet,i am a bit tired after a week away working and travelling home,with wembley sandwiched in the middle which has drained me a bit too.I will read it though at some point in the next day or so.
I think DD is entitled to his opinion without personnal attacks from people who think differently,but that is just my opinion.He is a long standing blue who has paid his dues over the years and although i saw and do see Mancini differently,i respect his viewpoint as well.,even if i may not agree with it.
I liked Mancini.He came into this club and in my opinion made everything more professional,sorted out the dissenters and a few wasters and put some pride back into the club and the shirt.I loved the way he took on and beat Ferguson at his own mind games,culminating with the latter blowing his top in last season's 1-0.I loved him for keeping his cool when we went eight points behind,totally taking the pressure off and unnerving the rags,intentional or not,it worked.
I liked his passion,his sense of humour in interviews and even him blowing his top on the touchline.I loved his celebrations when Aguero hit that winner and his dignity when the media constantly baited him in almost every interview.
Sure he made some mistakes.Public criticism never goes down well,some of his tactics became a little confusing and the lack of pace and a plan B to break down teams who played a certain way seemed to be getting like groundhog day...but...he is a young manager still learning too and i think whatever happens we missed a chance to build a dynasty here,especially with red nose retiring,but that has sadly passed now.
We will go on and hopefully have more success whoever is at the helm.Watching Chelsea pick up another trophy with a so called hated manager in charge,i think it is 11 trophies in 10 years and something like 9 managers but i am sure i have got some stats wrong there,as i said i am tired,you could probably have Stan Laurel as the boss and still be succesful,that is if you have good players who are professional and a bit of luck.
Whatever happens the rollercoaster ride continues next season.Keep the faith!!
