Mancini you are gutless

DD I usually quite like your posts but I stopped reading at "United aren't that good"

Really?

Who is better other than Chelsea Barca and Real Madrid (possibly)
Or is any team outside the Worlds top four "not that good" presumably we are better are we?

Which teams have beaten them this season again? Are they all rubbish too?

Doesn't matter who the individuals are they play very well as a team. That's why they are beating Valencia away (are they any good?)

Sack everyone because we didn't beat United. I suppose United will be thinking the same because they didn't beat us will they?

There's only one thing that needs changing...stop changing.

I have a few things that get on my nerves with Mancini style of play. When chasing a goal taking off Ade for Zab is crazy no other team battling for the champions league spots would take off a striker for a full back but thats Mancini tactics that may well cost him in the long term. Also his decesions on team selections at times it is the hardest job in the world to keep everyone happy no doubting that. We lack ideas when things are going against us. It takes him too long to make the changes that needs to be made during the game and leaves it too late for the team to get back into the game.
I honestly think the egos at the club are taking him for a ride and he is either scared to drop certain under preforming players for those big time charlies at the club who are paid well but dont show up. Mancini as the boss has to step up and say to those players your not doing it we have a squad of players who can come in and replace you and sit on the bench until you prove your worth at the club. Time for him to step up and show his worth to the team and be the manager and dont give a fuck about the egos if they get dropped.

But why shouldn't we aspire to that? After all we beat them quite emphatically not that long ago.

Mancini aspired to it very publicly until a couple of weeks ago, when he suddenly started moving the goalposts. A bit Like Hughes used to.
no he didn`t ,at the start of the season he suggested we might have a chance ,by the time we played Chelsea he more or less conceded the title so stop lying

Unfortunately it pains some City fans to think that our neighbours are on borrowed time and are becoming crap.
Like it or not (and I hate it) they are still the type of team that Chelsea and Arsenal want to emulate. And so do WE !
Lets walk before we run.

I'd say in terms of ability this is the worst United team for many many years. What they have is team spirit and understanding, and a very good manager.

It seems like Mancini and a number of City fans like you still believe the "Big Red" type myth.

How any of their 11 would get into ours? Not many.

I stand by what I said. They aren't that good.

They are not the sort of team we should be happy to draw with.

Ludicrous.

Vidic and Rio > Toure
Evra > Zabaleta
Scholes, Park > Barry
Nani > Milner

That's roughly half of their team. The sides are pretty even. This United side isn't as strong as either CL winning side but neither is ours. They're still a top side. Let's not be silly now.

So all these teams that aren't beating them are under a spell are they.

There are no spaceships. They are a very good team. The individual players aren't relevant. Look what HR did at Spurs with the same staff.

Plenty of teams fall into the Mancini trap of giving them too much respect. And for the last couple of years they've had a real talent for digging out wins during poor performance. But they are declining in terms of their ability to destroy teams.

United are greater than the sum of their parts, we are less than the sum of our parts.

That's the difference. I think we have much better players overall. Evra would get in our team, Rooney without question, Vidic probably, Berbatov maybe.

Dave-your belittling a club that have dominated English football for near on 20 years, unfortunately they are BIG RED im afraid.

You say they arnt that good but lie second in the table?Dave they are good-in fact better than us still at this present time.Yes we do have a squad better than theres but the facts are they are extremely well drilled, still pass the ball very well, have a system the whole club at all levels use-all of which come from having a manager in place for more than five minuites (Arsenal also).

Dave you make it sound like we should be 6 points clear at the top of the table!

They have the same squad and team that lost a fourth successive title last year by one point.

We would have taken a draw against WBA and a win against the rags wouldnt we?

There seems to be a popular misconception around here that there are only two ways of playing football. The first being mind-numbingly boring and grinding it out, ensuring no defeat. The second is all gung-ho, entertaining the fans and getting beat.

It is actually possible to be able to defend and attack as well. It's something top teams have managed to do for many years now. I am assuming we believe we are a reasonably top side now aren't we?

I get the feeling that most are still suffering from a massive inferiority complex andseem to believe we are a Wolves or a Wigan with this football being the only way to play to get results. If we have any ambition to be where we want to be, playing like the top teams do might be a better blueprint.
