Ah so we were a better team last year so we have gone backwards then? And would that be any fault of the manager's?

Expecting city to lose yesterday and thinking that they should not because the manager should have learnt from previous encounters and should use his more talented set of players effectively are not the same thing. Nor are they the same thing as saying Mancini is shit. What some people are saying is that Mancini is not getting the best out of his resources and is not taking the team forward anymore and is not showing any sign of having the answers.

Of course we were better last year any idiot can see that.

What annoys me the most is this 'stability' thing people keep going on about, as if it's the only solution. Stability is great if everyone is happy, squad-wise, if there looks to be happiness and some sort of progression.

This season has been a real backward step for the club. Just because the rags kept purple-nose all those years ago doesn't mean jack shit. He built a team with much less resources at that time, Mancini has had riches beyond most managers wildest dreams and this season has been so disappointing it's untrue.

If we'd gone down fighting, took it to the wire and played our hearts out, then yes there'd be no point in change just for change's sake. But when you see the abject nature of our displays for most of this season, then it is clear Mancini cannot get this squad of mainly very talented players, to play together and work for him and for the cause.
