I believe there were a fair number of people on here yesterday pitching into OB1 (and others) for his having had the temerity to opine that players ARE affected by public criticism from the manager, and actively disputing that fact in their unswerving support for the City manager. Perhaps they should read Samir Nasri's response to Mancini today (in Equipe and SSN), as they might see then how wide of the mark they are.......

Of course criticism affects. What have been Samir's two best performances of the season? Two games against Newcastle, what have they got in common? Mancini publically criticising Samir before both.

I thought there was 38 games in a season, not 2.

Mancini needs to get Nasri playing as much as possible rather than 2 fucking games.

What a load of crap. Nasri played well because he was playing against a crap Newcastle team and was allowed space as was Silva and Yaya who also had great games. Mancini shouldn't take credit for Nasri v Newcastle, it's laughable to say he should.

The big question here is why does Nasri feel comfortable enough to have this swipe?

Tick tock (but on which one?)
Honest question mate. Are you affiliated to the Mail in some way?

I thought Mancini's remarks were made after the game?

No. I think the Mail is a newspaper for wankers.

Shall we go with The Independant?

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/nasri-wenger-is-best-coach-8556227.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 56227.html</a>

or The Telegraph?

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/9965885/Manchester-City-midfielder-Samir-Nasri-hits-out-at-manager-Roberto-Mancinis-punch-remark.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... emark.html</a>

Doesn't really matter, the story's consistent.

I'm hoping it's Nasri talking in the full knowledge Mancini is history, but given the way Nasri has looked for ways out of the club already, it could just be his resignation letter. Whilst I welcome either or both pieces of news, I regret this kind of bad feeling in the dressing room before these two enormous games.

"I don’t know what the difference was today,’ Mancini said. ‘I can’t understand sometimes a player with his quality doesn’t play like today every game"

Sounds like post match criticism to me!

Well if you think Mancini should be praised for getting a tune to be played out of Nasri on two occasions then it is laughable. We need the lad playing all season not two games!

I meant no personal offense but I don't rate the post. Nothing against you, and yes mate have a good day :)

Fa Cup is gonna be ours Blue!
