His very public criticism of our players grates on me more and more, especially now it includes possibly the clubs best servant in VK, a pretty much perfect professional. When he first alienated players i understood it because he was the new guy trying to establish himself and his style on the team. Now i don't know why he'd publicly bash his own guys. I can't believe im saying this less than a year from him bringing us the title but i wouldn't be that bothered if he went. It's obvious big change is imminent now the barca boys are in charge, they're just waiting for the season to end. Lets hope these changes are for the best.

Lost to Hamburg away , Schalke at home...Wolfsburg at home..oh forget got hammered 4-1 at home to Hamburg a month or so back..scored though so thats a plus...

Dortmund are a very good team under an excellent coach and played exceptionally well against us but they stink the place out at times just as we stink the place at times. I do know that if we got smacked 4-1 at home to someone like Newcastle I doubt if we would get a cheery 'well at least we scored a goal thats good isn't it?" level of post match analysis.

It doesn't go down well whenever we lose but if we matched their conversion rate, I believe that we would have 18 more league goals and that could equated to enough points to have still competing for the title.

Well I am sure Dortmund fans will be further consoling themselves with the thought that their conversion rate would put them in contention for the title...of a league they do not play in. It sounds a lot better than being 20 points behind in the actual league they are in.

Perhaps Mancini can start claiming our points per game ratio would make us champions in say...Outer Mongolia. Missing a trick there I reckon
I dont think OB1 thought his post through...
He's still convinced Dortmund are having a good season in the league :)

yes OK, I mis-read the point about Joaquin. I have to concede that. Apologies Exeter Blue. I am the clown not you! Should have re-read your post after you told me too.

But not having the general comment about a good game of football should open the eyes of "Mancini" fans though when last season, and at times this season we've played as good a brand of football as the English game has seen, and I include Arsenal in that.

No worries mate. We may disagree on a few things, but we're still all Blues. I forget that sometimes!

So now zonal marking, that thing that's led to the best defensive record for the last 3 seasons, is at fault?

Ffs certain players made big mistakes at key times and have cost us in Europe and the title. I'm not saying Mancini holds no blame, but trying to blame zonal marking is fucking ridiculous.

Plus scum can't get past the 1st knockout stage either as well as the rest of the English clubs, lets all change managers...

Mancini should really think twice before speaking in public. Every club has 25 mostly immature guys that act like my 6 year old, that's what football has turned into nowadays.

But he makes it look like we the only ones with problems and all is dandy with other clubs in PL.

He should just shut up imho.

It's so revealing that you have reduced effective, no, competent, man-management to '...who shakes players hands and gives the players a nice cheesy smile when subbed!' Your utter lack of basic knowledge of individual psychology and job management is disturbing.

Dude;-),

There are people of all sorts of age and presumably experience on this board and I hope it is a not a cheap jibe - no sarcasm intended - to suggest that some of them have little or no management experience or training.

Yes, I realize that, but even when I was, and had only been, a subordinate at work, I had a basic grasp of how a manger should operate, because I had had managers I reported to...!!

You see this is what I don't get about the fans who want Mancini to "move on" they think the next manager will be this utopian leader plays mind blowing football week in week out who shakes players hands and gives the players a nice cheesy smile when subbed! They will get a shock no such manager exists and who ever replaces Mancini in the near future will have similar failures but this time the manager might be one who wins fuck all! God forbid after 2 seasons

I apologise for your misunderstanding of a flippant post on the attributes of the next possible character/personality manager!

You're quite welcome to attempt to dismiss it as 'flippant' but those of us here are well aware that these waters run much deeper than that. Sometimes, one reveals more in a post than one intends...

-- Thu Apr 04, 2013 12:16 am --

Or waspish was using 'exaggeration' to make a point. A device often employed but can sometimes be taken literally especially if that someone has a rod up their own arse...

Honestly, I don't remember granting you permission to speak of me in such a very personal manner. Again, sometimes one reveals more in a post than one has intended, Kowalski.

I'm just a working class football fan (although I've been upgraded to established middle class downstairs...) and I'll be the first to admit I don't have any real management training - I'm gaining experience all the time due to my business but nothing garnered from a text book. I watch the games and form opinions from what I've witnessed before me, I know it's simplistic but it works for me.

But by your own words, you are watching, experiencing and learning, and about more than just that area which is officially within your purview. Good work.
