A TH youtube clip just for me? I feel honoured. That's made my day. Thanks pal. :)

I am not sure everyone understands just how powerful Khaldoon is - I certainly didn't.

Mubadala Development company is the Abu Dhabi state owned investment company that bank rolls half of the emirates. They have pumped hundreds of billions into Dubai to prop up the Dubai economy and effectively they own and control not only much of Abu Dhabi and also Dubai itself.

Khaldoon is the CEO and Managing Director of Mubadala, answerable only to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan - the big cheese himself.

In terms of seniority and absolute power, Khaldoon is arguably above Sheikh Mansour. But obviously he isn't "family" and City is the Sheikh's project.

Khaldoun or Mansour will have the final say on Mancini
Not the spanish boys...

That's completely wrong.

Just as Yaya being sanctioned a new contract came down to Begiristain and Soriano, not Abu Dhabi.
Everything else within the club and transfers fair enough, they have the last word
As for them sacking mancini
I just cannot believe they wouldnt run that past the chairman & owner tolm..

Yes, some of us have known for quite some time that KAM is not Mansour's right hand man but I don't think he is above Mansour in seniority. However, the fact that KAM is City chairman should give people pause for thought when considering just how important City are to AD.

Don't think anybody is naive enough to believe Begiristain would just ring up Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon and say, 'Alright, guys, sacked Mancini today'.

I just don't have our owner down as an Abramovich-type figure, one who believes he should make all the key decisions, simply because of the money they have poured in.

We are not a dictatorship in that respect. It's splitting hairs, I know, as by your original comment, they will will always have the last word.

Just believe they have handed these guys a clear and trusted mandate to make the calls.

Otherwise, they are effectively puppets.
