truly the most pathetic, embarrassing and crinngworthy thread on bluemoon for quite some time.

well done.

Tbf Bill, your comments about Mancini early on in his reign were ridiculous. I'll never forget the day Hughes was sacked, what was it you posted again? Something along the lines of, "I'm gonna stand outside the front of the ground and complain!"

lol, i dont remember saying that mate. i have posted on here recently my views on mancini and his replacement of hughes. big big difference is mancini won the cup then the league. he does frustrate me still just not as much as he first did, his rotation especially in europe does my fruit in but the guy has been a success. nobody can say other wise.

here's that post.

this is laughable it really is. i was unimpressed when i heard mancini was to be our new boss, this was around 6 months before he was appointed. i hoped the deal would fall down and we'd either keep hughes or appoint jose. once installed all my fears came true, he was negative and seriously had no clue about what the prem was all about. his tactics and substitutions were baffling at best. one thing he did do though was he carried himself well, he was and still is class in front of the media and came across so very confident. he won me round to a degree and yes even now he still has me scratching my head at times.

so where are we now?

he wins us the fa cup, beating the rags in the semi, does it get better than that? well yes actually, he won us the league, from an impossible position and again its the rags that are brushed aside.
i'll never forget yayas goals in the semi and final and of course that goal by aguero back in may.

fast forward to august and mancini pleads with the board to cash in on our title success and get the players for us to kick on. the club sat on its hands. january comes and still no improvement in the squad. so nastastic apart bob plods on with a far weaker side than the 11 that won us the title, he endures the worst injury run to key players for quite some time, to any squad a big loss, to a paper thin in quality squad downright disaster.
you'd expect a top four finish to be a big ask but no bob lies in second, his team are in the semi final of the fa cup, his record come may 11th could read cup/league/cup in three seasons. throw in a runners up medal this season and i for one long suffering blue will take that all day long.
the club WILL back him this summer and ffs so should we.

he's earned it.

How many trophys did hughes win?

You make it out like I liked Hughes. I fucking hated Hughes, I was one of the biggest outers on here at the time.

De Niro on the otherhand was furious about his sacking, and slaughtered Mancini for months afterwards. Hence the irony in him being so pro-Mancini these days.

I think an opinion is o'k
But for mancini to get raped on here on a daily basis after delivering us three trophies stinks tbh mate.

Oh I agree, it's just ironic how vigorous Bill was for so long and now he's the complete opposite and criticises others for having staunch views when he was once the same.

As he's said, Mancini impressed him over time but while there has been some embarrassing posts in this thread, mostly it's just strong-minded blues going back and forth.

I think some could do with visiting your Ambient Music thread in the cellar ;-)

hmmm think this is worse <a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=280088" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=10&t=280088</a>

I really don't see the problem with having a thread to discuss our own manager.

i'm not "so pro mancini" as you say. i am anti ripping to bits a guy who has won the cup and the title with more silverware a distinct possibility, crazy at best but
DURING THE FUCKING SEASON ?

we are playing into the media's fucking hands.

I read a post on this thread which referred to Mancini as an A-List manager, WTF!!
He got sacked at Inter so that they could replace him with an A-List manager (Jose). He then spent time in the cold because no club would dare touch him after Inter (failed in CL however, won leagues without competition from Juve, AC or even a challege by AS Roma). This guy got lucky IMO.

Mark Hughes screwed up and he was at the right place at the right time and bingo we take him give him big wage and money to spend on players and a path back into management.

Mancini at best is a top C-List manager in my eyes and not an A-List manager.
