Need to give up with the Mancini's crap in Europe mantra, in English football he could (with FA cup this year) have 3 pots in 3 years.
European cups will follow but we may only win 1 or 2 per 10 years - there are other big clubs outside of England, Real Madrid have won nowt in Europe for 11 years!
So what if we didn't get out of the group stage, did you expect to win it so soon? All we did was not earn an extra 5 million revenue in reality.
Mancini sacked from Inter Milan after winning several league titles but failing in Europe (despite getting into the knockouts). Two (?) years later Mourinho wins the Champions League with largely the same team.
Mancini, with City, has won 3 matches out of 12.
Mancini, with City, won 2 of those against a team that is now in the Spanish second division, and except for a last gasp Aguero goal would have drawn one. The second of the two games against a later-relegated team was after the lost their top players to injury.
Mancini, with City, won a third time against a Munich team that was already through, and fielded a second-choice squad for their away game. Hardly an accomplishment.
Mancini, with City, directly contributed to no fewer than 5 of the goals scored against us in the matches against Dortmund and Ajax. Changing the system to 3-5-2, immediately letting in a goal, and then changing back to 4-4-2 (AFTER TAKING OFF THE SECOND FUCKING CENTERBACK) led to a loss in Amsterdam, and earlier in the draw against Dortmund at Eastlands.
Mancini, with City, contributed 3 of those 5 goals by setting up his defense in a zonal marking system, allowing a team with an average height difference of several inches to but three past us from corners. (fucking shambolic and downright embarrassing).
Mancini, with City, was lucky to get all three points from the 6 CL matches, despite the expectation of us at least challenging for a spot in the quarter or semi finals.
(FYI, you make yourself sound quite retarded when you somehow connect "progress" or "success" in a league with an explicit expectation of winning that competition. Try not to do that any more, its horrible.)
