I think Mancini will still be here next season as there are unlikely to be any viable alternatives but if we don't perform in the Champions League next year he'll be gone.

But that puts our league campaign at risk.

We need to either back or sack. By delaying till next season it means we have to find a top manager at the start of a campaign which is nigh on impossible and it means they will want their own players to fit their strategy which mean further player turnover. It has to be this summer, back or sack. Blunt but the other option is more painful imho.

you cant go far in europe, if you dont play with a fast tempo.

every team we have played presses, and we are clueless against them, i honestly cant see us winning the CL with the likes of nasri, barry, kolarov, etc, too slow...

Baines costs the same as we paid for Kolarov to put into perspective, if we sold Nasri I'd go balls deep for Gotze.

You gone off Sahin then

3 goals and 3 assists in 12 games. Not bad for a flop ;)

he's gone to Dortmund on an 18month loan, take a look for yourself to see how he gets on and why I rave about him. there's good reason he was voted top player in Bundesliga and why Real signed him.

I don't think Yaya's return will help a lot. Yes, he can keep the ball but he's too lazy to be interested in pressing.

I think a lot of people will be surprised when Laudrup will replace Mancini this summer.

Ripped it up here then

eta, it was actually 3!
so 12 games played and 6 goals setup/scored. not bad aye?

He wanted to back to Dortmund, he said so himself, I watched his return to BVB, the way they cheered him makes me think he will try and stay there.

cant help but laugh at some of his substitutions and tactics! horrendous at times, i dont know what goes through his head

and from where your sat you know who's injured who's got a knock not fully fit close to two bookings the list my friend is endless and if you know better your wasted in your job ;)

and back to the old days of change for changes sake

One good season at Swansea isn't selling me on Laudrup, he was nothing special at Mallorca and failed in Russia, and Swansea are not doing better than Blackburn were under Hughes (and we know how that turned out) besides playing prettier continental football.

We need established coaches, Laudrup would be a step back from Mancini in that sense. Laudrup would be an ideal assistant manager at a club of our level now, not the man in full charge.

Mancini is a serial trophy winner even if a European failure. Laudrup has won nothing as a manager outside of Denmark (though that could soon change but it's 1 trophy vs. Mancini's many) so there is no telling how well he'd do. It could be no different to us appointing Rodgers or Moyes, would anyone want those two with no guarantees on how well they'd do in such a high pressure environment?

Mancini is a high quality coach and if we're to replace him it should be with someone even higher not someone who has proven nothing yet. Let other clubs take the risk of these "could be great" managers, we don't want our club taking backward steps now with risks on managers who have only experienced mid-table level clubs.
