not the right ones, maybe need a stronger dose to give you longer to find the right "rhythm".

cute!
you've used my comments to appear amusing in another thread.

yes, well, someone had to turn it into something vaguely amusing, seeing as the original attempt was so poor.

x
thank you :-)

When I was at school (Latin being a living language), one of the young thugs ran into the deputy head. Fortunately, the lad went flying, but the teacher told him to write out 1000 times "Manners Maketh Man".

We always tried to instil manners into my girls, and it has paid off.

My late wife was a childminder for 23 years, and all the kids she looked after were taught to have manners and be respectful to others. I see most of them around, and they always call me "Uncle" George when they see me, so it must have worked.
My youngest daughter is a nanny, and has put her mum's lessons to good effect. The kids she looks after don't get anything unless they say please and thank you.

I suppose it's how you were brung up, like wot I was.

That's so true we can only pass on our principles to our kids and hope it sticks

At the park today my daughter asked me to bring her scooter over to the slide that she was on. A young girl just on the scene walked over to it and as I watched her expecting to just start using it she said "does your daughter want her scooter?" and brought it over and said 'there you go'. I thanked her and she said "you're welcome". Refreshing to see that not all youngsters are bad-mannered louts.

At the same time two lads were hogging the swings whilst this girl was wanting to go on. Her dad was asking them to make way and they said they may be there for two hours. I would've offered to wrap them around swing frame the little cunts.

Showing manners has to be a good thing - not just to women but to everyone else as well. It's a simple mark of respect and it makes people feel better.

My default position is to treat others with respect unless their own behaviour shows they don't deserve it.

I always hold the door for someone who is following or approaching. To be fair, I find a lot of people do. And most people acknowledge small acts of kindness too. (Not everyone).

You’re welcome.

You have no idea what I had to trade with the devil for that. No problem. Not a worry. My pleasure. Don’t mention it. It was nothing. Nothing makes me happier. Happy to help you. You are so welcome. Welcome, anytime. Anytime you need help, ask me. I am glad it helped you. I’ll count on your vote for the next election. I’m sure you’d have done the same for me. You’re welcome. You would have done the same if you were in my shoes. Sure. I’m happy to be of assistance. Happy to be of service. Sure thing. No big deal. The feeling is mutual. That’s why good friends do. I’m glad that you’re satisfied. You’ll get my bill by the morning. Oh, stop it, you! The invoice is on the way. You deserve it. It’s just a token of my appreciation. After all, it was my privilege. It was my honour to have helped. I’m just returning a favour. Let me know if I can help you in the future.

If only you had said thank you.

No not at all I always pay my way. Just think sometimes good manners are forgotten in the whole sexist thing

Some men still actually stand up when a lady comes into the room and walk on the outside of the pavement

I pay for meals, drinks, hold doors open, the full 9 yards.

But women cook and the other womanly stuff.
I hang wallpaper, paint and the other manly stuff.

Perfect.

Some men still actually stand up

I've actually stood to attention when certain ladies come in the room.
