Mansour and Khaldoon's targets

Could you imagine Bobby being sacked though after he has just delivered 3 league titles on the bounce and getting to the QF stages of the champs league?

I can imagine there coming a point in his tenure once he's won the league title whereby the owners would ask him to deliver a European Cup as well. If he didn't manage to do that, then they'd look at how/why. If he's unlucky in the way Chelsea have been a few times then I can't see them pulling the trigger like Roman did. If however he's tactically out-thought on a regular basis as I personally think he was against Napoli, then yes, I can see them looking at another manager.

On the basis of what you post it is difficult to see anyone reasonable saying that his removal under those circumstances to be anything other than a fair cop

i m amazed...the earlier replies to this thread infer that mancini deliberatley fielded a slightly weakened team looking towards sunday!..this is poppy cock! this game against napoli was a must win..you know it ..he knows it!

I haven't read all the thread, and I'm not commenting again on the Napoli game, other than to say we could still have won or drawn the game, we certainly weren't outplayed, and I don't think we were particularly out thought, my biggest gripe was they seemed more up for it than we were, which was disappointing.

I would imagine that the "targets" for this season, are get to the final of a domestic cup, and preferably win it, take the league to the last game, or preferably win it, and qualify for the last 16 of the CL at our first attempt. These would be all realistic aims last August, and at the moment we are on target for 2 out of the three, and despite all the negativity we still might do the third target.

I can't see anything coming along to see RM out of a job at the end of the season, barring a complete disaster in league form, I also think our owner will have a lot more patience in the CL, because it is a very hard competition to win (how long did it take sour alex ?).

But it depends what he was told by Khaldoon about targets. Maybe he was told that they would wait a couple of seasons for a decent CL performance but that it was more important in the short term that we made a statement domestically.

Exactly.
It was like a CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL and he failed to deliver.

Aguero and AJ after the 80th minute !!!!!!!!

Some posters said Aguero was injured but Mancini said in the interview that was not the case.
He was afraid of conceding 3rd goal that's why he didn't bring Aguero and AJ earlier.

Mancini afraid?

Tevez is the one who's afraid.

That game was about ifs and buts, if ballo would have slipped the ball past Napolis goalkeeper when put through then I really felt we would have gone on to win, we just needed a bit of luck.

The worst two players on the field were Zabaleta and Kolarov which tells you something.
