Anyone who saw him play last season knows how good Manu really is and knows exactly why the club rate him so highly. I think this kid is Silva's successor

definitely injured as he hobbled to his seat tonight to watch the game. Won't be playing for a while but I don't know what the injury is.

Needs bumping......terrific today,he simply steps up to the quality around him and takes things in his very capable stride.This kid,just turned 18......needs to be kept around the first team both for his own development and as a boost for our squad.

Only just turned 18?! Looks like a mini Silva. What a player we could have on our hands.
Looked so confident and composed on the ball and his awareness of space and players around him is brilliant.
Did really well as a RM, which is not his natural position, and then when we seemed to go more 433 he looked even better.
Hope he gets a go in the league now he's back from injury. We have so many injuries there will be opportunities.

Why the fuck do we have to "start again" I don't understand this bullshit. Pellegrini us been slow to bring them through but he's given them all a chance today, in fact since his announcement he's leaving he's been playing quite a few of the kids or have them on the bench.
So yes he's been slower than we hoped, but the squad, including u21s are in a great place for Pep to take over and Pellegrini isn't some bogey man that almost ruined everything.
The hyperbole and bullshit around this subject is unbearable.

No shit! 90% of players who come through the academy of a good team get their chance because of an injury crisis.

It wouldn't surprise me if Manu did play more, but I think Bersant is ahead of him.
He probably would have had a few more sub appearances if he hadn't been injured the last 3 months.

some players do !!!!, but we have had loads of games this season and previous seasons ( especially games where we have either been winning or poor opposition) where our talented young players could have played. do you honestly have any faith in pellegrini to really develop our youngsters ?. great they played today, but i dont think pellegrini is or ever has been that good for our young players ........ just because as you say he's given them all a chance today, doesnt suddenly change that. and to throw all of them into a game like today to hang out to dry isn't the best management imo

If that's the case, then we have some player on our hands. I never watched full games of our EDS 3 seasons ago so I wouldn't know how well Denis done but considering how well he's doing now,if Manu was/is better, Manu certainly has a big future at this club!
