yes his stubbornness with 4-4-2 is beyond annoying now

yes his selection of silva tonight is unforgiveable

but the board need to share some of this, twice we've won the league and both times our transfer business in the summer has been average

Can they really be blamed this time in view of Platini & Gill's personal witch-hunt hindering us i.e. FFP?

How has FFP hindered us this season we are 5 mill in profit from our transfers - squad size is an issue but there are lots of bang average players who could be dropped / moved out if better players are brought in.

Listen mate.I expect to beat newcastle a team who are simply poor..oh a second string team at that.if your happy with that shit then so be it.You keep bumming around your 50 notes thread.I will pass my opinion on tonights game..

I expect us to get behind our team.

I expect a double winning manager to get some slack the season after.

I expect some backbone from blues in the run in to the derby.

You go back to your' higher ground'.

Listen its not about higher ground and i aint gonna fall out with you but you cannot say playing silva wasnt suicidal..it was.Im not arsed about losing a game..that happens but the silva injury is whats fucked me off.His decisions are barmy

Yeah he should buy a new crystal fucking ball. Shit night, shit result. Get over it, we've had worse. I'd honestly believe I was on RAWK or ratcafe tonight with some of this shit. Silva got injured because a toon player is a talentless ****. We smashed the rags without him last year.

And even if we lose, CTID.

The biggest concern is that this is the second game on the bounce where we got precisely what we deserved. Nothing. Instead of a positive reaction to West Ham we managed to sink even lower in terms of performance. We now go into the derby and Moscow game in poor form and under increased pressure.

Sunday we can put some of this right but looking at our form overall this season it is fair to say we have some issues that need urgently addressing. To quote Ferran you get the performances right then the results will follow. Well right now the performances this season have been below par and our results have reflected this.

Right now we could play 442, 433 or 541 and still stink the place out. Pellers needs to work some major mojo and work it fast.

Conversely I still think we will win on Sunday. It being the derby could actually work for us and go some way in shaking some of this malaise out of our system.

After tonight the one thing I will say is that Manny has to carry the can when so many of our squad are woefully out of form.

Quite what the problem is I have no idea but there is definitely something going on.

Out of our first team squad of 20 or so players I'd guess that in my mind there's only Sergio and Jimmy that have played somewhere near their best. Merlin ok, Jovetic had glimpses, but other than those everyone else well below par.

Can't be a coincidence, can it?

at the moment he is losing us games we should win and could lose a very big game sunday with the way he is setting us up, if he keeps that shape after seeing time and again how open we look v those lot then i feel i could be a bad bad day.
We all have a laugh at them on here but DiMaria Rooney Van Persie and even JizzyJazz will hurt us given those chances and time
4-5-1 and the same back 4 every week, baring injuries i know Chelseas back 4 every week
sort it out MP

He shouldn't need a crystal ball to know that a Newcastle reserve player will probably try and kick our best player. It's not fucking rocket science is it??

You know that the rags are a lot better than they were last year don't you and you know that we've been awful in all competitions for a month or so now?

Subs Pellegrini. I know Silva was injured in the 1st half, but when we're not playing well, use the subs bench. You've got great players on there

No they're not and no we haven't. They were getting talked up last year, we were 'shit'.

Don't get that?

Yaya played an hour and he didn't anticipate Nasri having to come on after 5 mins and only wanted him to play max of an hour.

What else could he have done?

It's not about having a crystal ball, it's about "this comp is low on the list of priorities, Sunday is more important"; it's about risk management and mitigation of said risk. Given that brief I would have thought rather than risking Merlin and Aguero, fuck it off and keep them safe.

Now, here's your opportunity to ridicule me, however on Talksport on the way home from work, Mickey Scouse Geordie Horse Abuser Quinn stated "I've just seen that Newcastle team and if Newcastle win it will be an absolute miracle. City'll score 10". So given this seeming dearth of quality in the Geordie 2ndeleven, why risk our best players in a comp that's a "nice to win" rather than a must win like the game on Sunday?

Risk management mate.
