I've seen it a ridiculous amount recently. "Only played 7 la liga games in 2 years" "Barcelona's cup keeper" etc.

I don't know if people are being deliberately stupid, or if they just looked at Wikipedia for 5 seconds and saw the league appearance stats.

FWIW, someone I know and trust told me in all seriousness before game yesterday that someone he deemed reliable had told him Ter Stegen had signed for City. Obviously, he can't actually have signed for us but I suppose a deal could be in place but it is not a done deal.

If we are going to replace Hart as #1, TS would seem to be the best option, if we can pry him away from Barca.

He agreed terms with us, by all accounts, and took news of this offer to the Barca big wigs to show them that he was serious about wanting to be number one or wishing to leave.

But he certainly hasn't signed, we're a long way off agreeing a fee with Barca and it's not even clear if they'd be willing to sell, or even what decision they've come to about the number one status.

Could see this dragging on all the way to deadline day.

With Ter Stegen out and a deal very unlikely, instead of going for a stop gap in Bravo I'd rather see us go all out to bring back Schmeichel. He will basically be a free spot in the squad list and is decent with his distribution

Who has stated Ter Stgen is out and what makes you think if we simply click our fingers Casper would tell Leicester to do one and come to us?

I wouldn't be keen on getting rid of Hart for Bravo. Ter Steegan is someone young enough and good enough to risk taking the punt on getting rid of Hart. Unless there are other factors at play like dressing room influence etc.

I don't think Barca would be too reluctant to sell for a decent price. Both keepers want more minutes, which they would have here. TS won't be injured for that long, (2 weeks IIRC), which they could sign a good keeper like Diego Alves.

He's too good to be a No2 and it would kill his England career. I don't think his ego will let him either.

He would lose his England place for a year probably.

Butland would take over in a few months if hart was number 2, but if Hart did the hard work and improved like pep said he can in his last press conference, then hart could potentially force his way back into the city and England side in a year's time.

So it's up to him by the sounds of it.

That is not his character and he would have known long before he was in the tunnel and he wouldn't be stupid enough to do it in front of anyone even if he did.I'm dismayed people are posting bad stuff about him,respect for the last 10yrs is sadly lacking
