We're the richest club in the world, in profit on the transfer window so far and were arguing over £10 million or so for a player who appears to solve a big problem area for us and apparently fits us like a glove?

Something doesn't quite add up.
I agree something doesn't add up could it be that we had some secret deal with the FA to "balanced" our book's and they won't charge us instead and it goes away

Like Bernardo?

Zinchenko was very low maintenance and after the way we looked after him last season he owed us and as soon as a replacement was in, he could leave with our best wishes.
We have no idea what has been said behind closed doors. Bernardo seems happy to stay as much as he would leave if Barca had the 100m. If not he would have Mendes out in public letting the world know and for all we know he might be gone by the end of the month anyway, seems our position is clear on that one.

Zinchenko doesn't owe anyone anything.

Getting emotional about leaving his mates is one thing. Being happy about being at best second choice for any position on the pitch is another.

He's probably also doubled his wages and got a nice signing bonus.
Some haven’t read Zinny’s comments since joining Arsenal. Puts things into context.

No idea as I don't do Twitter but seeing as nobody in this forum posted anything about it until after Sky released it makes me think it wasn't well known or even known at all until then...?

Ah right okay, that's fair, I think Sky just tagged along after the bloke from the Mail broke the story and all the tier 1 guys confirmed it soon after.

Maybe so, but we have weakened ourselves because of arrogance in thinking we had our target in the bag, well thats what it looks like from afar, bizarre to let any player go without a replacement lined up, especially in a position we are already weak in

Fair enough. If that’s what the club consider he’s worth, I’m sure they’ll pay it. If not they’ll move on. I think it’s a bit much. It would look like a bit of an outlier, like Ake’s £41m and Grealish’s £100m. I’d guess about 40-45, given we need one and Brighton want their profit. It’s all piss and wind though because we haven’t got a clue what the club are thinking.

If Jackie or Phil gonna play side left really need a left footed full back, as makes us really unbalanced and predictable to have to right footers cutting in
