Because he wanted to leave.
Still didn't submit transfer request like Cucurella
Because he wanted to leave.
Because he wanted to leave.
Surely Txiki thought the Cucurella deal was going to get wrapped up and thought Brighton were willing to negotiate a reasonable fee it's the only explanation for letting Zinchenko go. Having said that as much as I loved Zinchenko at City we have to be honest with ourselves and say he's was a midfielder playing as a make shift left back and it's a position we really needed to improve on whether Zinchenko left or not.The club were fine with him leaving, however they should have waited until we got a replacement.
Clubs know were desperate to fill that spot and will be quoting inflated figures for their players because of it.
Been told its a "Done deal"
And I think it will be official soon.
Absolutely no need to apologise. Maybe Brighton did move the goalposts with the deal. Cheers for sharing your information either way.Sorry guys, it seems my friend got it wrong.
His justification is that there was and agreement with the player & a verbal agreement with Brighton then they asked for more ( Not sure if Zinchenko's early departure has a role )
Who said he did ?Because he wanted to leave.
Zinchenko played well for Arsenal tonight, but toward the end of the first half up to his substitution, his lack of pace started to tell as he got skinned for pace a few times.Surely Txiki thought the Cucurella deal was going to get wrapped up and thought Brighton were willing to negotiate a reasonable fee it's the only explanation for letting Zinchenko go. Having said that as much as I loved Zinchenko at City we have to be honest with ourselves and say he's was a midfielder playing as a make shift left back and it's a position we really needed to improve on whether Zinchenko left or not.
I do agree though I think clubs are going to try and fleece us if we go for their left back, Although it normally happens anyway.
I agree he was probably told we were signing a left back which is why he wanted to leave. He’s not going to wait till we sign someone if an opportunity arises. Sure, we could’ve said to Arsenal - you can have Zinchenko once we find a replacement but perhaps we wanted to do right by Zin for all he’s done.I don’t believe this for a second. Listening to his final speech it’s obvious he wasn’t expecting this and would’ve liked to stay. No footballer in their right mind wants to leave a team like City and a manager like Guardiola. Perhaps the board told him it will become even more difficult for him to get playing time with a new leftback planned to come in. In that case I would understand his desire to leave, but no chance that’s what he wanted before it became obvious for him he had no future here.
So you think we forced him out then?Who said he did ?
No need to as we didn’t stand in his way.Still didn't submit transfer request like Cucurella
