I’ve been told we’ve had a player+cash bid rejected.

I don’t know how much, or the player involved as of yet

Saw weeks ago they wanted between fifty and sixty million for him. There was a post linked on here saying we were about to offer £35m + a player. If that's the case then I imagine we've offered one of Delap or McAtee to make up the difference.

Maybe that was bullshit though because that means we're miles apart in our valuation.

Only this!! Even if we do sign cuckoo then will he be in our first eleven? Yep I know we needs a squad but paying the figures that have been quoted, then surely we would want a first eleven player, and for me cancelo at left back is hard to take out of the team, cancelo at right back? Prefer Richard edgehill tbh

Weather or not cancelo is capable of holding down the LB position, the fact remains we mustn't go into this season with 3 full backs. We have to add one more.

What is disrespectful? That' he would love to come back to Barca in the future and would treat us like a steppingstone? Look at Torres, look at Sane. Some players are not loyal, that's life. This is unfortunately the painful truth.

That's a fair point, but I think we both know that the £100m player in question has thus far failed to live up to that price and it could even be stretched to say he was a flop, second season gives him that chance I suppose.

We are paying that much because the fcking release clause, if he didn't have that back then it will be 150m for him if Villa have more say with the price tag.

City think he worth more not only his footballing skill but beyond that like marketing potential.

Well, he has also said this:
"Barça will always be Barça. It's my home. We would all like to return home one day. I work for myself, to have a good career. If one day the possibility comes up to return to Barça, the truth is I would be delighted."

Not that far fetched to think he would probably want to leave if Barcelona showed any real interest in bringing him back in the future. With that said I dont really see any problems with it, players come and go every year. As long as he does his job for us when he's here, I dont really see an issue.
