True but even if he is brilliant kids go through big form dips and need to introduced gradually. I think he is a good back up already but still a back up.
Yeah I totally agree, I just think it'll be a good test on how far he's come and if he's got the minerals to go all the way. Pep certainly wouldn't play him or put him in that situation if he thought not that's for sure

I have a gut feeling that City's board could wait till January to sign Cucurella, because Brighton would lower the price and because of the big World Cup gap. I know it's unlikely, but maybe it's a possibility to sign Cucurella. I'm afraid it's Cucurella or nobody from Pep...
I’d have a think about that post and have another crack :-)

Why would the price be lower in January?
Because of the player who is clearly unhappy, more City's pressure on Brighton making this deal, use more propaganda etc. It's hypothetical and I know this is not in the style of City (a little bit toxic too), but I guess that for us Cucurella would be an important player and Pep really, really wants him. That's only prediction, but I have a gut feeling we want him badly, but on our conditions. So no 50M£, but 40M£ in January for example.

I can’t see it being less then as Brighton would need a replacement and it’s harder and more expensive to buy in January.

You could ne right though.

This is only my stupid prediction, I don't know what would happen. Of course it's unlikely, but as I said before our board want him badly, but on our conditions.

Why would we let Zin go if we weren't confident of getting a new left back. Wouldn't make any sense other wise
I agree mostly, but also think people seem to have forgotten that our first choice left back is cancelo who was excellent there last season and that ake also can do a job at left back, and then there's Wilson erand that is coming through as well. Maybe it's a right full back we need?

In relation to Zinchenko: to be honest I also don't understand that we have sold him without having a replacement already wrapped out. The best situation for all parties would be to stay with us until we would have a replacement sorted out. Now we are thinner and we don't have an established squad player. We've earned a lot, in my opinion we could earn even more on him, but still it will be weird if we wouldn't sign anybody after his selling. Zinchenko has gone to Arsenal and in Arsenal they have Kieran Tierney who is a natural left-back! Right now, we don't have him and we don't have the replacement too. It will be very interesting to see Zinchenko's game time in Arsenal in comparison to us.

Let's be honest. The situation would be different. Walker is 32-years old, he is getting older, we've had a huge problems in the end of the season because of his injury. Cancelo is a natural right back too, don't forget about it. Ake is injury-prone and a half-option, JWE is talented, but unproven. Too many half options for me, but OK, I'm not the decision maker ;)

Because he wants to go and doesn't want to wait based on if Cucurella is coming or not?

Arsenal will not wait and look for another option that will lead a clearly unhappy Zinchenko that already gave everything despite being benchwarmer for the most part in his career on this club and yet we repaid him by holding him back ?

Our board isn't dick to the player that obviously being a good servant for this club and will grant him wishes as soon as possible if the buying club already met the valuation for him.
